Hi Loves!
Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Asian Skin Solution for their Hydrocare water boost treatment and it makes me happy to be sharing about this fantastic facial treatment with you all!

There is a very chic waiting area for customers and guests right next to their counter at the entrance area:

After arriving and checking in at the counter, I was ushered into the consultation room for a diagnosis of my skin and its condition.

So the Asian Skin Solution therapist use a device to snap photos of my skin on various spots on my face; forehead, cheek, nose and chin. And the smart diagnosis tool then proceeded to analyse my skin condition based on these factors: Pores, Spots, Wrinkles, Impurities and Keratin.

So apparently my skin condition was not very good. Intensive care is needed with respect to Impurities and Keratin followed by Moisture, Pores, Spots. It was a very sobering diagnosis for my skin condition and I am reminded to drink more water and start taking my collagen supplements religiously again, hahaha! Thankfully the condition of Wrinkles on my skin is Optimum, yay!

After the diagnosis and consultation we proceeded to the private facial room and I changed and prepared for the facial. The Hydrocare Water Boost Treatment includes make up removal (if any), cleansing, misting (to open up your pores), extraction, oxygen jet, massage, mask, application of moisturizer and sunblock.
Having my face cleansed and prepped before misting:

Therapist applying softener to hasten the softening of the skin during misting to prep for extraction, so it will not be so painful.

The application of oxygen jet on my face was a very enjoyable experience~

The hydrating mask was cooling and had a sweet fruity scent:

Very satisfied with the immediate hydrating and brightening effects of the facial!:

Asian Skin Solution also offers their own in-house skincare products; R.Defence sunblock with SPF 35 that whitens and protects skin from harmful UV rays as well as R.H2O serum, a lightweight formula that hydrates the skin instantly for long lasting moisture:

In partnership with the good folks over at Asian Skin Solution, we are giving away this very pampering session by Asian Skin Solution – Hydrocare Water Boost Treatment for just $38 (actual price at $250)! Thanks Vaya Tyffyn for creating this super stylish lunch box!

Check out the awards they’ve won!
Even her eyebrow pencil drawing looks good on it’s own!
She started with my right eyebrow…
Coco at work. 🙂
As you can see, the gradient technique is dotting instead of drawing lines. It’s catered for me especially to cover up a scar across my left eyebrow, where the line eyebrow embroidery technique doesn’t last.
The colour gradually darkens as she’s working on it.
So so thoughtful. <3

I love that this is a quick 10 min mask, the cranberry seeds exfoliates the skin in a gentle and natural manner, revealing clean and rejuvenated skin~

Let’s just dive straight into the dishes we had from Gu Ma Jia’s food tasting! 🙂
We started the dinner with Gu Ma Jia’s Vinegar Enzyme drink.
We had Gu Ma Jia’s Signature Beancurd, Crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a tasty dipping sauce.
Kyoto Pork Ribs – a feast for the eyes as well with the fire show!
Kyoto Pork Ribs is sooo delicious and tender – highly recommended!
Another top favourite, Kai Lan Yuan Yang – it is fried till it is crispy.
Prawn and Salted Egg Yoke. I’m allergic to prawns so I didn’t try the prawn but the egg yolk sauce/gravy is delicious! I love salted egg yolk dishes so much!
Claypot Wine Chicken with Ginger and Sesame Oil is another hot favourite dish. Frankly, I don’t know how we managed to eat so much that night, hahaha.
Gu Ma Jia’s Award Winning Assam Fish Head, is sweet and sour and hits all the right spots! I know my mum will love this.
Another special occasion top picks, White Pepper Crab. The white pepper has the kick!
Glutinous rice with vanilla ice cream, I really like this dessert! A blend of hot and cold, savoury and sweet.
More desserts, Mango pudding, White Fungus and Vinegar Enzyme Jelly.
The vinegar enzyme jars kept in store!
Since 2009.

Kate Tokyo’s new and latest Forming Edge eyeshadow palettes and BB Powder Changing Mousse ($23.50 each).
Kate Tokyo’s new and latest Forming Edge eyeshadow palettes in BR-3 (brown), PK-1 (pink), BU-1(blue) and GD-1 (green). Check out all eight shades on their site
Kate Tokyo’s Forming Edge eyeshadow palette in PK-1, my favourite of the 4 shades. The colour in the middle is actually more peach (pinkish orange) than pink, nonetheless the colours in the palette complements very well for a sweet and romantic look that’s wearable on a daily basis too. Super love!
Wearing Kate Tokyo’s Forming Edge eyeshadow palette in PK-1 in this look.
Kate Tokyo’s Forming Edge eyeshadow palette in BR-3 is my second favourite colour of choice and I pick this colour on days when I want to go for a more understated glam look, like this:
Kate Tokyo’s Forming Edge eyeshadow palette in BU-1 is a colour I have yet to try but when I do, I’d likely match it with gold or orange to create a more friendly look rather than just full blue, which is a tricky look to wear on its own on a regular day.
Kate Tokyo’s Forming Edge eyeshadow palette in GD-1, unfortunately the powder came cracked when I received it, which goes to show how fragile it is, so do be careful when you handle them. Though the pigment and formula is great, and the fancy diamond packaging looks pretty, it does make it more fragile.
KATE Powdery Mousse BB. I have yet to try this out.

Rounding off my Kate Tokyo review with their Eyebrow Set, which comes with the brow palette, brush and comb, was retailing at $20.50, in December 2015. Not sure if you can still find the same promotion now. My Japanese friend commenting on IG (the same pic as above) that Kate is a very popular brand in Japan and that she has bought the same brow palette 10 times! Wow. However I am more of a eyebrow pencil kinda gal… I tried to apply and like this product but I am just not as efficient with this eyebrow palette as I am with the eyebrow pencil… oops.
That is why we need more than one brand in the market, such as Clio which caters to girls like me who prefers eyebrow pencil rather than eyebrow palette, although you an also spot their version above. They also have their Kill Brow All Day Tattoo (which sold out in Korean when they first launched), which is the K version of Benefit’s Gimme Brow, Gel Brow Pencil and waterproof eyeliners! Have actually yet to break into all of them yet, but do check them out in Watsons stores. As mentioned above, I highly recommend Clio’s Kill Black and Brown brush eyeliner and lately am also really loving their Gradation Dual Eyebrow pencil which is their new summer 2016 collection, which I will review in another post! 🙂
Sometime back, the kind folks of

New cosmetics from Etude House Play 101 Sticks / cushion concealers, Laneige BB Cushion, K-Palette Rose Eyeliner, Kate Tokyo Eyeshadow Palettes, Stenders Handcream and Lipbalm.
Swatches of Etude House Play 101 sticks, creamy and pigmented.
My picks for the day.
Coffee break with Cafedirect (available at Fairprice Finest & Fairprice Xtra) before heading out.

And YES I had also lugged over the new ranges of skincare goodies; shower gel, scrub, body creams from The Body Shop to try out during the staycation, best decision ever! Our bathroom and room were filled and smelled so good of summer fragrances from the Pinita Colada (Pineapple and Coconut) to Polynesian Tiare (island flowers), they’ll all launch by June 9. 😉
And a wefie with the lovely one before we tore ourselves away from the room… we really didn’t want to go.
A very cosy and bubbly lobby atmosphere when we left, ideal for friends or family to gather before heading out.
Brought the Origins’ rose mask and renewal serum with me for the staycation so I could apply it with by bff!

The Moistfull White Mela Perfect Serum is a whit-ish translucent watery consistency serum which I apply after my toner and before my make up base. It is quite moisturising as well. I would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable moisturizing and whitening serum.
The Zero Sebum Line include 1. White Sebum Clear 2. All Day Matte Gel and 3. Drying Powder.

Also grabbed a refill for my Any Cushion in Peach (Primer), Eyebrow Liner and Eyeshadow applicators during a members’ sale.

Seriously, those european models are sooo tall!
