Medtrinia Ageless Herbal Cream and NewBornLash Serum? | Beauty Reviews

Today I’ll be reviewing two body creams and one eyelash growth serum. I’ve been using these products on and off for a few months and I have to confess that I’ve not used them for consecutive days, sufficient to see a remarkable result. And that’s also a reason why I’ve been hesitant to review these products on the blog  as it’s hard to attest to the results. Nonetheless, I’ll be including details of the products, so if you find them useful, you might want to give them a try! 😉

Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream Blogger Review Ena Teo Enabalista_0000

Do you experience very bad period cramps? Then you might find this cream useful! Starting off the review with Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream with Chasteberry Extract that is highly recommended by fellow blogger Herine, who also sent this product over to me for review.

Specifically developed to alleviate hormone imbalance symptoms and beauty problems related to hormonal imbalances, Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream with Chasteberry extract contains the exclusive Phyto-hormone Triactive Complex of Chasteberry, Fenugreek and Rapeseed Extract, clinically proven to mimic the positive effects of your hormones on your body and skin. This Triactive Complex designed for skin delivery system to maximize its efficacy on restoring you to optimal youthful levels and improving your health and vitality. It contains 100% natural botanical ingredients, no animal substances or synthetic hormones are used in the formulation of Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream.

Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream helps to regulate hormone production, maintains optimal hormone levels and is a great massage complement for holistic healing.

Chasteberry (Vitex) is a plant found in the Mediterranean region. It has the ability to effect the pituitary gland’s regulatory and balancing influence on progesterone, estrogen and prolactin hormone production. Its preparations are used to help treat irregularities of the menstrual cycles, premenstrual complaints and mastodynia (breast pain). It is also an effective remedy for menopausal disorders & PMS.

Fenugreek acts as an emollient (softens and soothes the skin). It also reduces blood sugar and is a potential raw material for the production of sex hormones. It is commonly used in Chinese Medicine to treat cold pain in the lower abdomen, impotence, and hernia (said to be due to cold “Chi”).

Dioscorea (Wild Yam) root is used as a precursor for manufacturing progesterone and estrogen. It is used to help ease dysmenorrhea and cramps.

Grape Seed Extract is a powerful anti-oxidant. The anti-oxidant activity provides a strong rationale for using it in the therapeutic management of microvascular disorders. It may also support collagen stabilization.

Geranium Oil keeps the skin supple and opens its pores to allow
better absorption. Its properties for balancing the mind and emotions helps relief anxiety, stress etc.

Benefits of Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream

1. Improve osteoporosis symptoms
2. Improves decreased libido
3. Alleviates moodswings and hotflushes
4. Reduces vaginal dryness
5. Retards aging
6. Firms the breasts
7. Reduces menstrual cramps/PMS
8. Reduce water retention
9. Hydrates skin and improve skin elasticity
10. Promotes a stronger immune system

I have used this Meditrina Ageless Herbal Cream with Chasteberry Extract on multiple occasions focusing on the breasts and stomach area where Herine recommended as it will firm the area while keeping the skin supple. It will give a warm sensation after applied. As it includes Chasteberry and Wild Yam root which helps the body to balance hormones, it is recommended if you experience irregular periods or physical discomfort brought by hormonal imbalance. Based on the stated benefits of the cream, it would also be suitable for women going through menopause. Retails at $178, purchase online here. For more information visit the fact sheet link here.

Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy Cream Blogger Review Ena Teo Enabalista_0000If stretch marks are your concerns, why not give Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy Cream a shot? I confess that I don’t have visible stretch marks to attest to the effects of this cream, but I love applying this to my legs and thighs because of the lovely botanical scent and its moisturizing effects from the hyaluronic acid.  In case you haven’t, read my review of Mederma Proactive Gel, a scar removal gel here. For more information, visit the Mederma website here.NewbornLash Blogger Review Ena Teo Enabalista_0000

Last but not the last, we have NewbornLash Eyelash and Brow Serum for review. I really want to like this product and see its effects on my eyelashes because I have the typical sparse, short and straight asian eyelashes. HOWEVER I have never managed to go past 3 consecutive days/nights of applying this serum. Sorry guys. I usually apply this at night before I sleep, it has a tiny brush tip applicator which makes it easy to apply the serum at your eyelash roots. I also confess that this is a very late review because I received this product last year. The product is brought in by BeaulabSEA but I can’t find any product information on its site at the moment. Let me know if you’ve any eyelash growth serum to recommend and tips to stick to the regime? 🙂

What to order at Arteastiq Plaza Singapura

A way overdue post considering Arteastiq at Plaza Singapura launched last year, but it’s still relevant and I’ll be highlighting which are the dishes I’d recommend and have gone back for since it’s opening! 😉
Arteastiq Plaza Singapura Ena Teo Enabalista Blogger Review _0000Arteastiq started out at Mandarin Gallery and it’s known to be a place where you can spend hours painting and/or having tea with friends, so it’s also only appropriate to dress up a little for it (not that I need any excuse to dress up, really). 😉

Arteastiq Plaza Singapura Ena Teo Enabalista Blogger Review _0001 Longan tea is an Arteastiq special and many have asked where to get the tea from but it’s a trade secret! We had a lot of dishes to share at the food tasting, but here are my top 3 dish picks! 🙂

Arteastiq Plaza Singapura Ena Teo Enabalista Blogger Review _0019Aphrodiate Crabmeat Benedict ($25) is a store recommended dish, the crabmeat was a little dry.

Arteastiq Plaza Singapura Ena Teo Enabalista Blogger Review _0011I super love this Tuscan Sun Porcine et Polenta ($20) which is eggs over mashed potatos and mushrooms, basically all my favourites on a plate!

I have yet to try Summer in Provence – Foiegras ($28) which is seared foie gras with lightly baked eggs but it’s definitely next on my list when I’m back.

Arteastiq Plaza Singapura Ena Teo Enabalista Blogger Review _0014 Arteastiq Plaza Singapura Ena Teo Enabalista Blogger Review _0015This Boston Love Boat Ciponi ($29) is a highly recommended dish for sharing. Everything about this dish from the seafood to soup, is perfect.

We were basically too full to properly appreciate the desserts…

Stay Hip & Chic with BIG Hotel Singapore

Over the recent labour day holiday, Christabelle and I enjoyed our extended weekend at boutique hotel, BIG Hotel Singapore. Super love the chic, grey textured walls and its Pinterest-worthy minimalistic interior. <3

Belle and I made full use of our 1D1N with girly activities such as playing with new make up, photo taking at the alley ways/spots near by the hotel, thai food at Aroy Dee for dinner, The Daily Scoop (at School of the Arts) for desserts and masks (mutiple, yes, haha) time before we called it a night. During our fruitful staycation, we were also appropriately (mostly me, haha since Belle doesn’t really drinks coffee) with Nespresso and Cafedirect coffee, it’s sweet that BIG Hotel has a Nespresso machine in the room. Have I mentioned how much I love the chic coffee corner? 😉BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0003 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0008 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0010 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0009 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0006 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0007 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0004 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0005BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0013BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0012 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0011 BIG Hotel Singapore Review Lifestyle Blogger Ena Teo Enabalista _0014New cosmetics from Etude House Play 101 Sticks / cushion concealers, Laneige BB Cushion, K-Palette Rose Eyeliner, Kate Tokyo Eyeshadow Palettes, Stenders Handcream and Lipbalm.

I brought along Origin’s Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores, and found out that Christabelle is a huge fan of this brand and been using this mask regularly which helps with her oily skin type, once a week. The comfy bed and sheets made for a great night’s rest. All in, BIG Hotel is an affordable, chic option that I’d recommend whether you’re considering for a local stay-cation or visiting from abroad. Staff we met at the hotel were also very pleasant and courteous – they definitely made our stay that much sweeter. Plus, it’s located conveniently close to Bugis MRT (if you’re taking the train down from Changi Airport, from the green line) and walking distance to Dhoby Ghaut and Little India where you can explore more of Singapore whether for shopping, dining or cultural spots. If you’re keen, you can also check out my alma-mater LASALLE College of the Arts which is literally behind BIG hotel, if you’re in luck you might coincide your stay with graduating students’ exhibitions. happening from now, 20th May to 1st June!

Thank you BIG Hotel & Chelsea for arranging the stay for review!

Weekend Getaway to Genting Highlands!

Hi Loves!

I’m back again! 😀

Yesterday I posted about my review of Aaron Crow’s Fearless Magic show, the highlight of my recent weekend trip to Genting Highlands. Today I’ll be posting about the rest of the trip and cover everything else we did! It’s gonna be super image heavy! 😛Enabalista Media Review Resorts World Genting March 2016_0000Traveling with my sis for this trip! On the coach~
Enabalista Media Review Resorts World Genting March 2016_0001My cute personalized passport cover thanks to Tiffy!

We reached the hotel early in the morning around 5am, caught some sleep before we headed out around 10+am~

Checked out Terminal 2 cafe just at the lobby of  XYZ wing.

Enabalista Media Review Resorts World Genting March 2016_0004They had nice bread, but servings were huge. We didn’t want to be too full as we were expecting a buffet lunch at Coffee Terrace~

Enabalista Media Review Resorts World Genting March 2016_0002Enabalista Media Review Resorts World Genting March 2016_0003 So I snapped a few photos and we headed to check out other food places.

Like 1 Meter Teh!

Then it was time for buffet lunch!!!

Enabalista Media Review Resorts World Genting March 2016_0008Once again, our SOP – array of cuisine on our table! 😀

Close ups of the delicious food… Once again, the buffet did not disappoint, both in quality and quantity. 😛

This time round, I explored the Coffee Terrace place with Chiu Yen and sis and found this sightseeing spot:

Then I was trying to practise selfies/wefies on my new Canon G7 camera…

Enabalista Resorts World Genting Review_0000Apparently my sis is a pro at it! 😛
Enabalista Resorts World Genting Review_0001Here’s one of me after a few takes. But as you can see, I can’t seem to take on with one hand only… I need more practice. Haha.

Next we headed to Snow World!!! I know I sound super excited now, when I was initially not. But I unexpectedly had a lot of fun for what was supposed to be for kids/children, hahaha. All you need to have fun, is to have a child’s heart! 😛

Photos and cameras are not allowed (except for media) inside Snow World as they have professional photographers inside and will charge you for photos, should you want.

After this we couldn’t snap photos when the Snow World opened to public and we kept our cameras away, but I did get to seat the slide which is only for people before 65kg, and we also played with the red sledges and it was a lot of fun! It’s those kiddy level kind of intensity which is just perfect for me because I don’t like scary rides, hahaha.Snow World Resorts World Genting Review March 2016_0010Group we-fie outside Snow World~

Snow World Resorts World Genting Review March 2016_0011And another!

After Snow World, we went to catch the Fearless Magic Show, which I’ve already covered in the previous post. After the show, we had dinner at Bubbles & Bites!

The name Bubbles & Bites originates from the fact that the restaurant serves simple western food with an exquisite list of drinks―including sparkling wines imported from such countries as Italy, Spain and France. Hence the word“Bubbles.”  True to its name, Bubbles & Bites makes the perfect chillout place for effervescent young people, families and all others who believe great food and good ambience go hand in hand.

Let’s check out the place!

You might have seen my postings of Origins’ Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay (aka Rose Mask) and Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb on a previous post when I brought them along for a staycation and on my IG, here’s an in-depth review of Origins’ Rose Mask and Renewal Serum!
2015-09-07 19.25.52Brought the Origins’ rose mask and renewal serum with me for the staycation so I could apply it with by bff!
Origins Rose Mask Review 1Close up of the duo
Origins Rose Mask Review 2How we look with Origins Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. Only a quick 10 minutes is all it takes! I love it!

Origins Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

Phase I: Purify & Deep Clean
Upon application, creamy Rose Clay deep cleans skin to absorb impurities and excess oils while drawing out dirt and build-up from pores. Sourced from Spain, Rose Clay has been used for thousands of years as a powerful detoxifying ingredient. For centuries, women as far back as Cleopatra and Nefertiti recognized its power to give them flawless skin.

  • Simultaneously, Original SkinTM key ingredient, Canadian Willowherb, helps restore skin’s clarity and luminosity to reveal much sought-after glow. A potent extract found in Northern Canadian prairies and traditionally used as an herbal supplement to treat medical ailments, this blossom helps combat dullness and sallowness while restoring skin’s clarity and glow.
  • To balance skin and maintain peak health, Persian Silk Tree, an anti-irritant native to Eastern Asia and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, works to rebound from stress.

Phase II: Exfoliate & Refine Skin’s Texture
Once the mask dries, natural wax Jojoba beads suspended in the formula activate upon the introduction of water. These natural, scrubby plant beads gently exfoliate and polish skin’s texture, sloughing off dead skin cells to reveal the look and feel of radiant, smooth skin. Grown in South America, these natural scrubbing beads gently refine and polish skin’s surface to revealing perfected skin.

This efficacious treatment enhances your inner glow and rejuvenates the senses with a refreshing Essential Oil blend of Grapefruit, Lavender, Geranium, Rose, Amyris, Chamomile and Clary sage.

To use, apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave the mask to dry for 10 minutes before using wet fingertips to scrub and wipe off. Use 1-2 times per week for optimal results.

Origins Rose Mask Review 3How we look after the mask and applying Origins’ Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb.

Origins has created a high-performance solution, Original SkinTM Renewal Serum with Willowherb, to specifically target quarter-life skin concerns – rough texture, enlarged pores, stressed skin, flaws and loss of radiance – in one product driven by two key factors.

  1. Intrinsic = Cell turnover. Cell renewal is vital for skin vibrancy which is a prominent sign of youth. As we get older, cell turnover slows down and degrades our original skin. When cell turnover is increased, fresh plump cells are brought to skin’s surface boosting skin’s ability to reflect light and increase translucency

2. Extrinsic = Carbonylation.ingredients from nature with immediate and long-term benefits, addresses quarter-life skin concerns by refining texture, enhancing radiance and glow, shrinking pores, blurring imperfections and restoring overall quality for glowing and smooth skin.

Here’s how Original SkinTM works:

Refines Skin’s Texture and Minimizes Pores. Featuring Chestnut Seed Extract, originally found in Europe and known for its skin refining properties, a renewal complex helps boost skin cell turnover and eliminates roughness, counteracts flakiness and improves overall texture. Together with nutrient rich algae extract found in North East Atlantic Ocean, Laminaria Saccharina helps balance skin’s production of sebum to tighten and shrink the appearance of pores, making them appear smaller.

  • Restores Radiance and Rebounds from Stress. The potent extract, Canadian Willowherb, helps restore skin’s clarity and luminosity to help recreate original glowing skin. Found in Northern Canadian prairies, it has traditionally been used as an herbal supplement to treat medical ailments. Anti- irritant, Persian Silk Tree, works in tandem to help keep skin at peak health. Native to Eastern Asia and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this active boosts translucency for optimal looking skin.

Visibly Blurs Skin: A blend of optics immediately corrects dullness and visibly softens the appearance of pores and imperfections giving skin a flawless finish.

Origins is a leader in harnessing the power of nature to discover potent ingredients that deliver advanced skincare results. Original SkinTM Renewal Serum with Willowherb is specifically developed with powerful ingredients from nature to provide a multi-dimensional one-step solution to these issues.

My review:
First of all, I love the Origins’ Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay because it only takes 10 minutes for the mask to dry up and take effect, which is faster than the usual 20 minutes masks required for clay masks. Secondly the mask leaves my skin baby smooth because it contains Jojoba beads that gently scrubs my dead skin away after I wash it out. Plus the Rose Clay draws out dirt and oil and has a tightening effect on my pores. Therefore, after the Rose Mask, I apply the Original Skin Renewal Serum which refines the skin texture and minimize pores with chestnut extract and canadian willowherb restores skin’s clarity and luminosity for that glow. It’s definitely my favourite clay mask and serum duo thus far and I highly recommend it. After my bff used it, she loved it so much, so I bought one set for her as her birthday gift! You can find the products at Origins stores in Singapore retailing for $50 and $78 respectively.

Thank you Origins Singapore for the mask and serum for review!

Face Forward with Clinique’s Smart Eye Serum and 3 Step Skin Care

Last August Clinique launched their meaningful Face Forward campaign encouraging women to make a promise for their future self, via social media.
CLINIQUE FACE FORWARD _0000Here’s mine, writing to my future 30 year old self:

Dear Ena, how is life like at 30? Honestly it feels weird speaking to you, my older self. I trust that you’re now older and wiser. Hopefully you’re more passionate than ever; living life to the fullest, whether you’re still in working in the property industry and blogging. I hope you’re still rooted in Christ and enjoying His love and grace each day. May your life be a testament to His glory and goodness. I also hope that you have a better understanding of the value and preciousness of time and that you’ve mastered being in control of time. I believe that as I continue to be grounded, faithful and industrious, I’ll have the confidence to face you in 5 years time. X Ena

In addition to the Face Forward campaign launch, Clinique also launched their Smart Eye Serum, mascara and liner and a few Clozette ambassadors and I were invited down for the launch at Sephora at ION.

CLINIQUE FACE FORWARD _0002A few of the mug shots taken of the guests, spot me! 😛

Clinique’s Smart Custom Repair Eye Treatment: Our smart eye treatment targets repair as needed, where needed.  Custom repair is how one formula can visibly brighten, contour and firm, plump or repair the look of crow’s feet.  Use twice a day.CLINIQUE FACE FORWARD _0005With Clozette ambassadors at the event!

CLINIQUE FACE FORWARD _0006Photos and products from the event. Unfortunately I did not like both the chubby mascara and liquid eyelining pen as I found the chubby mascara hard to handle with the chubby body and the eyelining pen smudges. Have yet to review the eye serum, will put it to the test and review on my IG @ena_teo, follow me if you haven’t! 😉
CLINIQUE 3 STEPS_0000Was also gifted the Clinique’s 3 step skin care for taking part in the #FaceForward social media campaign. I have oily + normal combi skin and I was matched with the type 3 for the 3 step skin care, consisting of soap, lotion and gel. Heard really good reviews of the dramatically different moisturizing gel, shall also review on my IG after testing it.

Thank you Clinique SG and Clozette for the media invitation and product gifts!

Review: Slim down and tighten up with Marie France Venus Freeze

Hi Loves!

Are you thinking of seeking professional help on your slimming journey? Marie France Bodyline should be no stranger to locals since we are all too familiar with the brand’s ambassador Christy Chung’s svelte figure on past campaign posters around town and more recently, our local A-list actress Fann Wong’s post pregnancy sexy figure reveal, all thanks to Marie France Bodyline treatments.

About a month back, I visited Marie France Bodyline to try out their new treatment that promises to be highly-effective in circumferential reduction, reduces cellulite appearance and enhances body skin tighteningVenus Freeze. It was my second time at MFB as I was visited earlier last year for their PRO-FREEZE treatment review. I was pleasantly surprised that Venus Freeze, unlike Pro Freeze, is a warm treatment.

More about Venus Freeze:

Safe, pain-free and results-driven, Venus Freeze is the first and only clinically-proven treatment to receive FDA clearance for the use of Magnetic Pulse technology. Magnetic Pulse fields have been used in medicine for decades and have a proven track record with regards to their regenerative properties, including synthesis of collagen, fibroblast proliferation and neo-vascularity.

Each session of Venus Freeze treatment takes about 30 to 40 minutes depending on the area and one can expect to see results as the treatments progress. The treatment is relaxing and pain-free with no downtime that gives long-term results.

Now on to photos and my review!

Marie France Venus Freeze 1Checking in to Marie France Bodyline at Orchard International Building, first time visitors can expect to fill in particular forms before meeting a consultant to advise which treatments would best fit your needs and target areas.  After my discussion with the consultant, I decided to go ahead and try out the Venus Freeze treatment on my arms.

Marie France Venus Freeze 2In the changing room.

Marie France Venus Freeze 3Changed out into the robes.. but I later changed into a towel wrapped around my body for the treatment on the arms.

Marie France Venus Freeze 5This is the massage head that was used for my Venus Freeze treatment on the arms.

Marie France Venus Freeze 6Another smaller massage head.
2015-12-01 12.54.07First a gel is spread across the skin of the targeted area to reduce friction and increase effectiveness from the massage and treatment.
2015-12-01 12.56.05Then the massage begins and it is timed for an automatic 10 minutes. The heat from the massage head and massaging action gets more intense with time. If it gets too hot, you can request for a lower temperature. At first I was a bit hesitant as I was afraid it might be too hot, but after I know the heat limit from one side, I could really enjoy the heat and massage during the treatment on the other side.
2015-12-01 13.06.17The result after 10 minutes, the skin is red from the heat and massage but is not prolonged, goes down quickly after the treatment.2015-12-01 13.20.54The last step is putting on a mask with collagen, to sooth and hydrate the skin.

After the treatment, I did a post review session with the consultant and my immediate post treatment measurement shows that I lost a quarter inch from 10.75 to 10.5inch around my arm. This Venus Freeze treatment works for those looking to reduce circumference of the body, cellulite appearance and tightens the skin.

Depending on your needs and target areas, you can adopt a treatment blend of both Venus Freeze and Pro Freeze treatments, a session with Marie France Bodyline and their professional consultants will help you to custom make a  personalised treatment to achieve your desired physique and goals.

Spectacular Drama Watching Experience with ASUS ZenFone 2

Hi Loves!

After a day’s of work, how do you spend your time while resting and relaxing? For me, I love to watch dramas, especially Korean dramas of romantic comedy genre… 😀

Recently I am especially hooked on Oh My Venus, starring actress Shin Min Ah and actor Soo Ji Sub and I’m so stoked to be able to watch the drama on the latest ASUS ZenFone 2!

In my previous unboxing post I’ve compared the ASUS ZenFone 2 with my IPhone 6.

ASUS Zenfone Laser 2 6inch Full HD blog review 1 004Comparing the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser 6.0-inch FHD phone on the right with my current iPhone 6 on the left. iPhone 6 is 4.7inch, so the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser 6.0-inch FHD is a whooping 1.3inch inches bigger! The screen is also longer, wider and bigger for a more enjoyable video watching experience, woohoo!

And here’s how it looks like:

ASUS Zenfone 2 For Drama Watching Blog Review 002

A bigger screen to see Shin Min Ah’s pretty face~ASUS Zenfone 2 For Drama Watching Blog Review 001

I am super loving drama watching on the ASUS ZenFone 2 because with its 1920 x 1080 Full HD,  the screen is wider, longer and bigger  resolution. Plus, the dual 5-magnet speaker makes for excellent audio too! I love that even though the screen is bigger, I can still hold it comfortably in my hands while resting in bed. I find my IPad Mini too big and bulky while drama watching and the ASUS ZenFone 2 is a great size upgrade from my IPhone 6! 🙂

Check out a snippet of the beautiful visuals, loud & crisp audio experience from the ASUS ZenFone 2 for yourself! 😉

Til the next post~

Thank you ASUS Singapore for the ASUS ZenFone 2 for review!

Boost Your Skincare with CNP Invisible Peeling Booster

Hi Loves!

Today’s the last year of 2015, what are your plans for countdown? I read an article by Paulo Coelho on Facebook about how we should all learn to let go of the things in 2015 so as to move on into the year 2016 and be ready for all it has to offer us. It is in-line with this time and season that I’m introducing a relatively new product that I’ve been using and enjoying… The CNP Laboratory Invisible Peeling Booster!

This product removes dead skin cells. Exposure to UV rays from the sun can cause skin to become thick and dull-looking from the accumulation of dead skin cells. Exfoliating is an important step in basic skincare, but we also want a product that’s not harsh for our skin, that’s where CNP’s Invisible Peeling Booster comes in!
CNP Invisible Peeling Booster

I would recommend using this product interchangeably with your current FTE (First treatment essence), on days when you can see dull skin and want a mild yet effective exfoliating product. I use this product after cleansing and before toning, with a cotton pad and helps me to remove the dead skin cells.

For more product details, see below.

After its debut in Korea last year, the first production of the Invisible Peeling Booster was completely sold out and it was so popular it won two media awards in a short time. This is a convenient and gentle peeling product that requires no washing after use. It is an easy-to-use yet intelligent product that enhances absorption of your follow-on skin care.

This product contains a number of cutting-edge ingredients that work in unity to transform your skin:

 Polyhydroxy Acids (PHA)

CNP has invested an expansive amount of research on PHA—CNP holds the patent and IP rights for this research. Developed for the CNP Dermatology Clinic customers, PHA is an ingredient in CNP’s basic daily skincare, implementing gentle peeling on a daily basis.  The Invisible Peeling Booster is the only peeling product of its kind that requires no rinsing. Containing Gluconolactone and Lactobacillus Bionic cosmetic composition in PHA, this Booster improves skin health by removing dead skin cells

 CNP Anti-irritant Complex

AHA and BHA are the acids commonly used in most exfoliants. Not so in CNP’s products. PHA is hypoallergenic and is less irritating as there is no rubbing or massaging required to remove dead skin cells. In addition, the Booster contains Panthenol and Allantoin, ingredients that soothe and reduce any opportunity of skin irritation. What you get is radiant skin without the redness.

Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) Complex

This Complex contains hypoallergenic ingredients such as Sodium PCA, Trehalose, Glucose, Urea and Allantoin which helps to maintain skin health and retain moisture. They are all safe for sensitive skin.

 APPLICATION METHOD

An appropriate amount is evenly spread on face prior to using toner.  The Invisible Peeling Booster is used after washing face in morning and evening on a daily basis.  No rinsing or wiping is required.

THE RESULT: CRYSTAL CLEAR SKIN

Our skin lacks the ability to self-exfoliate, hence dead skin cells build up over time.  As a result, skin begins to look dry, dull and aged. What’s more, when keratin builds up, skincare products will have difficulty penetrating beyond the skin.

Experience 7 remarkable skin improvements after using CNP Laboratory Invisible Peeling Booster for 7 Days:

1-      Boost Dead Skin Cell Removal – PHA removes dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and normalize the cycle of dead skin cell generation without irritation.

2-      Refine Skin Tone – Skin texture is smoother when skin maintains hydrated after peeling through the moisturizing action of NMF complex.

3-      Increase Skin Transparency – Removing of the dead skin cells, improving the blood circulation in facial skin and improving the dull skin tone.

4-      Brighten Skin Tone – Cordyceps Sinensis extracts boost overall skin health and improve skin is radiance.

5-      Long Lasting Hydration – Peeling can be drying, the moisturizing system contains Panthenol and the NMF complex improves the ability to maintain moisture skin deep.

6-      Regulate Sebum – Skin produces less by-products resulting in an unconducive environment for blemish to form.  Skin oil & moisture balance is achieved.

7-      Reduce Redness – Allantoin is an anti-inflammatory agent which reduces redness in skin tone and skin sensitivity.

Peeling is the first step in a skincare regime after cleansing. It enhances the efficacy of the products that follow on.  The Invisible Peeling Booster causes minimal stress to skin and is gentle and mild, perfect for your daily regime.  It is used daily after skin is cleansed, the skin and moisturizes at the same time.

The Invisible Peeling Booster is available exclusively at Guardian Health & Beauty Stores and CNP website.

Watsons Exclusive DHC Skincare delivers hydration, clarity & pore care for your skin

Hi Loves!

A few months back, I attend a Watsons and DHC media launch to learn more about DHC Japan’s eight new products to provide aqua goodness, effective cleansing solutions, combat excessive sebum, and help fight pesky pore concerns.

DHC Skincare Launch 006

The new range of products includes the Placenta2 Hyaluronic4 Watergel, Face Wash, Water-friendly Cleansing Oil F1, Rich Eye Zone Care Pack and the Pore Range. The new products focus on being natural, mild yet effective and are all free of colorant, fragrance, and paraben to provide optimum results without stripping the skin of its natural healing properties.

I enjoy using DHC’s Placenta2 Hyaluronic4 Watergel, which is a lightweight moisturizing gel to hydrate my skin after cleansing and toner and before my makeup.

More about the various products below!

DHC Skincare Launch 001DHC Placenta2 Hyaluronic4 Watergel (200ml, SGD 39.90)

A lightweight moisturizing gel, DHC Placenta2 Hyaluronic4 Watergel is formulated to provide optimum benefits to the skin. The product includes two kinds of placenta extracts to bring out clarity in skin, four kinds of hyaluronic acids for moisturisation, ceramide to act as a barrier from impurities, two types of collagen, elastin and proteoglycan for firmness and elasticity. It is the perfect solution to get hydrated skin with just one drop to seal in all the moisture.

DHC Skincare Launch 002DHC Water-friendly Cleansing Oil F1 (150ml, SGD 29.90)

Say goodbye to double cleansing with DHC’s Water-friendly Cleansing Oil F1 that acts as both a makeup remover and facial cleanser. It is a convenient and effective solution to remove makeup and cleanse pores while preventing dryness and roughness of the skin. The Water-friendly Cleansing Oil F1 efficiently removes even the toughest waterproof mascara, eyeliner and stubborn blackheads gently without having to subject your skin to harsh abrasions. The combination of ingredients such as licorice derivative and aloe extract prevents roughness of skin while virgin olive oil and squalene produces a moisturising effect, leaving skin feeling moist and supple after use.

DHC Skincare Launch 003DHC Face Wash (200ml, SGD 36.90)

Featuring purifying rosemary and various plant-derived moisturizing ingredients with low stimulus cleansing components which condition the skin to a smooth and moisturising texture, the mildly acidic and milky medicated face wash has a pH balance that is close to that of regular healthy skin. DHC Face Wash thoroughly removes dirt and dead skin cells without stripping the skin of necessary sebum while providing moisture. This mild yet effective product is especially suitable for users with dry or sensitive skin.

DHC Skincare Launch 004DHC Rich Eye Zone Care Pack (6 packs, SGD 23.90)

The DHC Rich Eye Zone Care Pack is a specially shaped eye mask sheet which cares for the corner of the eyes, eyelids and under-eye area in a single application. The care pack contains four kinds of multi peptide – Acetyl hexapeptide-8, Penta peptide-18, Acetyl decapeptide-3 and Ogligo peptide-20 to fight wrinkles caused by dryness. It also contains nano collagen, nano hyaluronic acid, nano elastin and virgin olive oil to provide moisture to the eye area. Featuring an airy sheet that is soft and gentle on delicate eye areas, the mask fits flexibly to cover both top and bottom eyelids and the corner of the eyes. This allows the mask to infiltrate beauty essences deep into the keratoid layer immediately upon application. This product is especially suitable for users concerned about wrinkles around the eye area caused by dryness and sagging.

DHC Skincare Launch 005DHC Pore Range

The new DHC Pore Range consists of four products – Pore Face Wash, Pore Lotion, Pore Essence and Pore Milk. Each product carries a unique function to help users fight elements that cause enlarged, saggy and clogged pores. The DHC Pore Range contains no artificial fragrance and instead consists of a natural citrus based formula that includes extracts of rum bud, calendula officinalis, mandarin orange skin, grapefruit skin, lemon skin and orange fruit to give off a light and soothing citrusy scent.

DHC Pore Face Wash (120g, SGD 24.90)

Designed to dissolve and remove oxidised sebum dirt that clogs pores, the Pore Face Wash contains fine baking soda powder to provide a gentle scrub wash texture that washes away keratin plugs. This ultra foaming wash also contains mild peeling ingredients, France brown algae and plantago major to brighten skin and plant-based ingredients like glycerin glucoside and trehalose derivative to lock- in moisture levels in the skin. In addition, the presence of olive leaf extract, which is high in anti-oxidant, protects the skin from elements that cause damage and gives off a refreshing sensation. The product, which comes in a paste-like consistency, is recommended for all skin types and can be used selectively on affected areas.

DHC Pore Lotion (120ml, SGD 31.90)

The Pore Lotion features a nano-micell delivery carrier system that helps discharge beauty ingredients into inner skin layers more effectively. The lotion also contains mushroom extract and PCA zinc that acts like an astringent to help tighten pores, provide moisture and suppress sebum production.

DHC Pore Essence (20G, SGD 34.90)

The DHC Pore Essence on the other hand, features a micro capsule delivery carrier system that detects ion imbalance within the skin, and discharges beauty ingredients where necessary. This helps the products to effectively react and discharge the ingredients to troubled skin areas. The DHC Pore Essence also contains mushroom extract that acts as an astringent to tighten and moisturize pores, Vitamin E derivative to provide enhanced antioxidation, anti- inflammatory, and sebum absorption powder to absorb excessive sebum and sweat.

DHC Pore Milk (80ml, SGD 31.90)

The Pore Milk similarly features the micro capsule delivery system and contains ceramide VI – the same beauty ingredient contained in milk that normalizes turnover. Beauty ingredients – African whitewood tree bark extract helps control oil while Japanese rose fruit extract helps fight blemishes and oxidization, acts as an astringent, conditions dead skin cells, moisten pores and promote elasticity and melanin production.

The Pore Lotion, Pore Essence and Pore Milk contain artichoke leaf extract to promote metabolism and moisture to help tighten enlarged, saggy and clogged pores and increase elasticity and firmness. The presence of vitamin C derivative in these three products helps to control sebum to clarify and brighten the skin. Furthermore, these products contain oxyresver atrol – an anti-oxidation, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory ingredient and are all suitable for users with oily and combination skin.

DHC Skincare Launch 007 DHC Skincare Launch 008

I recommend DHC products if you re looking for natural, gentle/mild skincare. The new range of DHC products are exclusively at selected Watsons stores island wide.

Hi Loves!

Jewellery brand Tous that hails from Barcelona launched their fragrance Tous Floral Touch which is a sweet floral fragrance and it was a romantic affair, to say the least. The launch event was held at D’Good Cafe at Holland Village and we were treated to cupcakes, eclairs and fruit punch before being ushered to the 2nd floor where we learnt from Tous’ representative Mr Javier Bacallado Ucelay, about the story behind Tous and Tous Floral Touch. We were each given a cloth fan and taught the various sign language – how to flirt or say no with the fan, it was fun! Last but not the least we indulged in the photo taking of the new fragrance and the lovely packaging which were designed for picture photo moments. You’ll see! A while back Etude House launched their Moistfull White Mela Perfect Serum, a whitening serum that promises to transform your skin from the inside out for a flawlessly radiant complexion. Along with the serum, Etude House also has a new, Zero Sebum Line to rescue all princesses from the dreaded sebum built up for beautifully matte skin, all day long! Zero Sebum Line features three products for a complete sebum-free solution that removes, controls and absorb sebum throughout the day.

Etude House Sebum Control 002The Moistfull White Mela Perfect Serum is a whit-ish translucent watery consistency serum which I apply after my toner and before my make up base. It is quite moisturising as well. I would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable moisturizing and whitening serum.

Key ingredients include Pearl and Lavender Extracts which correct blemishes and spots while kissing the skin with glowing radiance! Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen nourishes and further hydrates your skin to keep it ever youthful, supple and bouncing with vitality! A good dose of Vitamin C Derivatives helps to lighten your skin naturally, penetrating deep into skin for a luminous effect everyone will notice!

Etude House Sebum Control 001The Zero Sebum Line include 1. White Sebum Clear 2. All Day Matte Gel and 3. Drying Powder.

The Zero Sebum Line is equipped with active ingredients such as Sugar Polymer, Cotton Flower and Mixed Herb Extracts, the Zero Sebum Line effectively ensures your skin stays Sebum- free and pretty throughout the day. Sugar Polymer with Plankton Extract absorbs the sebum above the skin to help skin remain powdery all day long. The Cotton Extract prevents skin damage caused by sebum while the Mixed Herb Extract helps to relax and soothe skin, with an added antibacterial effect so that your skin gets the protection and care it truly deserves

Zero Sebum White Sebum Clear is to be used after cleansing and toning, on areas like forehead, nose and chin and it will dissolve white bumpy sebum without water.

Zero Sebum All Day Matt Gel is a finishing gel that contains natural organic grain powder, which collects and controls the sebum for all day long sebum-free skin. To be used as a finishing step in the mornings and evenings. Dispense an appropriate amount and apply softly on skin in an inward to outward motion.

Last but not the least, Zero Sebum Drying Powder is a Pact Powder that absorbs sebum without affecting make up. Contains Natural Mineral Powder (80%) that adheres onto skin texture to prevent caking. Tap on areas with sebum trouble after skincare or make up application. I like to use this powder on my nose and forehead after applying my foundation to matt-ify the areas. I recommend this if you have oily T-zones and want to minimize shine, you can apply in the morning and reapply throughout the day.

ETUDE HOUSE Moistfull White Mela Perfect Serum retails for $40. The serum and ETUDE HOUSE Zero Sebum Line retails for White Sebum Clear $19.90, All Day Matte Gel $19.90 and Drying Powder $13.90. all ETUDE HOUSE outlets in Singapore.

Fall in love with Emily Fruit Crisps

The story of Emily fruit crisp is an interesting one. Business and life partners Emily Wong and Alex Ascani met in London. Alex studied in Singapore and it was on a trip back to Asia that they discovered how to make fruit crisp. Alex decided to name the brand after Emily, so he could bring Emily wherever he went and now, make the world fall in love with Emily… fruit crisps.

The fruit crisps come in banana, apple and pineapple flavours. All natural fruit ingredients with a touch of oil, no gluten, sugar or preservatives, very healthy and tasty.

Bio-essence Deep Exfoliating Gel & Face Lifting Cream Extra Strength Review

Hi Loves!

I’m beginning to find my neck lines getting more defined, so it’s super timely that Bio-essence has launched an enhanced formula of their Face Lifting Cream to give women an extra lift, extra V shape facial contour.

Packed with Royal Jelly and Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), the new Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream promises to help achieve improvements in skin elasticity, reduction in wrinkle counts and instant facial contour reduction within 10 minutes of usage. Within just 3 consecutive nights of use, I had a reduction of 0.5cm along my jaw line/chin, pretty remarkable! 😳 I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for an effective lifting facial cream for the neck and lower face.

Maximise the V-shape facial contour effect of the new Extra Strength Face Lifting Cream with Royal Jelly & ATP by using Bio-essence new Deep Exfoliating Gel (Oil Control) or Deep Exfoliating Gel (Sensitive Skin). I personally prefer sensitive skin formula as its gentler on the skin. 😌

Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur & Liquid Lips

Hi Loves!

This blog post and review is a little late in coming. Just in this year alone, I’ve published 170 articles and several more dozens to go and whilst I was preparing for another Etude House product feature and review post, I realized that I haven’t blogged about this from many months back, oops! It must have fell through the cracks, nonetheless it’s still not too late as these products are still on sale in stores. 🙂

To help you to achieve the perfect selfie shot, Etude House launched their Beauty Shot Face Blur (S$27.90) which acts as an all in one primer + foundation base, blurring out imperfections for a smoother skin texture. Also, to give an insta-colour to the face, pair your foundation with Color in Liquid Lips (S$17.90), a combination of lipstick, gloss and stain all in one. I call it the liquid version of Etude House iconic Dear My Wish Lips Talk, really and gloss gives a sexier pout on photos. What’s not to love? Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur and Liquid Lips 003 Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur and Liquid Lips 001 Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur and Liquid Lips 002 Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur and Liquid Lips 004Also grabbed a refill for my Any Cushion in Peach (Primer), Eyebrow Liner and Eyeshadow applicators during a members’ sale.
