Boost Your Skincare with CNP Invisible Peeling Booster

Today’s the last year of 2015, what are your plans for countdown? I read an article by Paulo Coelho on Facebook about how we should all learn to let go of the things in 2015 so as to move on into the year 2016 and be ready for all it has to offer us. It is in-line with this time and season that I’m introducing a relatively new product that I’ve been using and enjoying… The CNP Laboratory Invisible Peeling Booster!

This product removes dead skin cells. Exposure to UV rays from the sun can cause skin to become thick and dull-looking from the accumulation of dead skin cells. Exfoliating is an important step in basic skincare, but we also want a product that’s not harsh for our skin, that’s where CNP’s Invisible Peeling Booster comes in!

I would recommend using this product interchangeably with your current FTE (First treatment essence), on days when you can see dull skin and want a mild yet effective exfoliating product. I use this product after cleansing and before toning, with a cotton pad and helps me to remove the dead skin cells.

Polyhydroxy Acids (PHA)

CNP has invested an expansive amount of research on PHA—CNP holds the patent and IP rights for this research. Developed for the CNP Dermatology Clinic customers, PHA is an ingredient in CNP’s basic daily skincare, implementing gentle peeling on a daily basis. The Invisible Peeling Booster is the only peeling product of its kind that requires no rinsing. Containing Gluconolactone and Lactobacillus Bionic cosmetic composition in PHA, this Booster improves skin health by removing dead skin cells.

CNP Anti-irritant Complex

AHA and BHA are the acids commonly used in most exfoliants. Not so in CNP’s products. PHA is hypoallergenic and is less irritating as there is no rubbing or massaging required to remove dead skin cells. In addition, the Booster contains Panthenol and Allantoin, ingredients that soothe and reduce any opportunity of skin irritation. What you get is radiant skin without the redness.

Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) Complex

DHC Rich Eye Zone Care Pack (6 packs, SGD 23.90)

The DHC Rich Eye Zone Care Pack is a specially shaped eye mask sheet which cares for the corner of the eyes, eyelids and under-eye area in a single application. The care pack contains four kinds of multi peptide – Acetyl hexapeptide-8, Penta peptide-18, Acetyl decapeptide-3 and Ogligo peptide-20 to fight wrinkles caused by dryness. It also contains nano collagen, nano hyaluronic acid, nano elastin and virgin olive oil to provide moisture to the eye area. Featuring an airy sheet that is soft and gentle on delicate eye areas, the mask fits flexibly to cover both top and bottom eyelids and the corner of the eyes. DHC Pore Range

The new DHC Pore Range consists of four products – Pore Face Wash, Pore Lotion, Pore Essence and Pore Milk. The DHC Pore Range contains no artificial fragrance and instead consists of a natural citrus based formula that includes extracts of rum bud, calendula officinalis, mandarin orange skin, grapefruit skin, lemon skin and orange fruit to give off a light and soothing citrusy scent.

DHC Pore Face Wash (120g, SGD 24.90)

Designed to dissolve and remove oxidised sebum dirt that clogs pores, the Pore Face Wash contains fine baking soda powder to provide a gentle scrub wash texture that washes away keratin plugs. This ultra foaming wash also contains mild peeling ingredients, France brown algae and plantago major to brighten skin and plant-based ingredients like glycerin glucoside and trehalose derivative to lock- in moisture levels in the skin. In addition, the presence of olive leaf extract, which is high in anti-oxidant, protects the skin from elements that cause damage and gives off a refreshing sensation. The product, which comes in a paste-like consistency, is recommended for all skin types and can be used selectively on affected areas.

DHC Pore Lotion (120ml, SGD 31.90)

The Pore Lotion features a nano-micell delivery carrier system that helps discharge beauty ingredients into inner skin layers more effectively. The lotion also contains mushroom extract and PCA zinc that acts like an astringent to help tighten pores, provide moisture and suppress sebum production.

DHC Pore Essence (20G, SGD 34.90)

The DHC Pore Essence on the other hand, features a micro capsule delivery carrier system that detects ion imbalance within the skin, and discharges beauty ingredients where necessary. This helps the products to effectively react and discharge the ingredients to troubled skin areas. The DHC Pore Essence also contains mushroom extract that acts as an astringent to tighten and moisturize pores, Vitamin E derivative to provide enhanced antioxidation, anti- inflammatory, and sebum absorption powder to absorb excessive sebum and sweat.

DHC Pore Milk (80ml, SGD 31.90)

The Pore Milk similarly features the micro capsule delivery system and contains ceramide VI – the same beauty ingredient contained in milk that normalizes turnover. Beauty ingredients – African whitewood tree bark extract helps control oil while Japanese rose fruit extract helps fight blemishes and oxidization, acts as an astringent, conditions dead skin cells, moisten pores and promote elasticity and melanin production.

The Pore Lotion, Pore Essence and Pore Milk contain artichoke leaf extract to promote metabolism and moisture to help tighten enlarged, saggy and clogged pores and increase elasticity and firmness. The presence of vitamin C derivative in these three products helps to control sebum to clarify and brighten the skin. Furthermore, these products contain oxyresver atrol – an anti-oxidation, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory ingredient and are all suitable for users with oily and combination skin.

Tous Floral Touch Fragrance Launch

Jewellery brand Tous that hails from Barcelona launched their fragrance Tous Floral Touch which is a sweet floral fragrance and it was a romantic affair, to say the least. The launch event was held at D’Good Cafe at Holland Village and we were treated to cupcakes, eclairs and fruit punch before being ushered to the 2nd floor where we learnt from Tous’ representative Mr Javier Bacallado Ucelay, about the story behind Tous and Tous Floral Touch. We were each given a cloth fan and taught the various sign language – how to flirt or say no with the fan, it was fun! Last but not the least we indulged in the photo taking of the new fragrance and the lovely packaging which were designed for picture photo moments. You’ll see! This perfume proves to be a feminine yet mature scent and is perfect for women who love a sweet floral fragrance with a touch of citrus and a musky base.

Tous Floral Touch is introduced in the summer of 2015 after the original Tous Touch from 2006, Tous Sensual Touch from 2012 and Tous Touch Flower Edition from 2014. Tous Floral Touch is a sweet floral scent enriched with citrus opening and sensual musky base.

The composition opens with notes of mandarin, bergamot, lemon and violet leaf. Its sweet and spicy heart includes notes of tuberose, wild strawberry and ginger. The base ends with amber, cedar and musk.

The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette, in Sasa stores across Singapore.

Clio Kill Cover Makeup Launch

If you haven’t already seen them in stores, Clio launched a series of Virgin Kiss Tension Lip colours with ambassador and popular Korean actress Gong Hyo Jin fronting the campaign! In addition to the Virgin Kiss Tension Lip colours, we were also introduced to Clio’s Kill Cover Founwear, cushion foundation and Tattoo Kill Brows, eyebrow marker and mascara at the media launch and preview. Virgin Kiss Tension Lip colours come in a black matte bullet with Gong Hyo Jin’s signature. The lip colours are trendy, pigmented and glides on smoothly, you only need to “do it just once!” (han bon man ha ja!) I’m a huge fan of Clio’s liquid eyeliner, the best I’ve ever tried and generally am fond of the make up range for their easy on the skin formulation and colours that creates a trendy, sharp look.
These Korean treats are so authentic and delicious.

Clio Kill Cover Founwear comes in 03 and 04. 04 is a better match for my skin tone, although I can also wear 03 for a lighter skin tone. I like the formulation as it provides good coverage without being too thick and it’s also hydrating without being too dewy, with a matte finish. For Clio’s Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow, apply on the marker on the brows the night before and brush on in the morning for colour that lasts all day.

Proceeded to complete the rest of the fingernails! ^^ These are really super easy to apply, you will need a sponge to create the white gradient layer. After about 2-3 weeks, I could “peel” the gelish layer off my nails. There is an Enamelting gel nail soak off remover from the shop to safely remove the gel nail polish!

Are you a facial mask lover? If you are, I am sure you are familiar with mask sheets which are popular in Korea and Taiwan, as well as Clay masks which are popular in US. But, have you heard about Jelly Mask? Well, I sure haven’t before I tried ePure Membranous Jelly Mask and I must say, it is a very special mask!
ePure Membranous Jelly Mask comes in a box of 3, with a spatula, $39.90 / box.

Main ingredients include Alpha Arbutin, Seaweed Extract, Epure Natural Vanila Scent, Jojoba Leaf Extract, & Hyaluronic Acid – Triple Moist Complex (HA-TMC).

ePure mask boasts that after 25 minutes, it leaves the skin 60% more hydrated, 55% more refined and 52% brighter.

Directions:
1. Apply jelly mask with the spatula, apply a thick layer 0.3-0.5cm.

My Review
I really enjoyed using the ePure jelly mask and can see why it has become quite the cult mask in Asia. Whilst the application requires more effort than a facial sheet mask, the experience is also correspondingly more refreshing. The jelly mask is translucent and clear from the sachet and after leaving it on for 30 minutes, it is as though the jelly absorbs all the oil and dirt from the pores that it becomes slightly cloudy when removed. The other remarkable quality of the mask is that it leaves the skin super refreshed, which can be accrued to the Hyaluaronic Acid which deeply hydrates the skin and leaving it supple for many hours.

The Body Shop Christmas Party

Christmas is literally just round the corner and I’ll be blogging about all things Christmas related these few days! ^^ The Body Shop hosted the first Christmas media preview (that I’ve attended, that is) which I think is more appropriate to call it a party, it was so much fun! After learning about all the new Christmas products for sale and the charity work The Body Shop is taking part in this Christmas, we went around the venue making Christmas themed souvenirs, food & drinks. Just thinking about it now makes me want to organize a similar Christmas party with a few friends and have fun! Enough of my introduction, scroll on for photos and captions! ^^

My Review

Having tried DCS Nutriderm Ultra Nutrition range, I can attest that this range is suitable for sensitive skin, keeping the skin hydrated. Whilst the name sounds intimidating as “Ultra Nutrition” sounds like it is too rich for skin in the 20’s age bracket, DCS Nutriderm Ultra Nutrition range and products are suitable for younger skin too. One of the key ingredient in the range is Korean Ginseng Berry for its anti-aging properties, so there is a discernible Ginseng scent in the range. I expect that this range will be more popular with older women, or women who loves a luxurious herbal ginseng scent. If you’re on the lookout for anti-aging skincare for sensitive skin, I would recommend DCS Nutriderm Ultra Nutrition range.

MY REVIEW
I have completed the entire bottle and while it is hard to discern if my skin has gotten lighter and more hydrated because my skin is not very dark and dry to begin with, what I do like is that Ceramiracle has helped to strengthen my skin and nails, my nails are usually brittle but it has become strong and does not chip. The supplement comes in a flavourless capsule form and is easy to digest. If you are looking for a skincare supplement for skin lightening and hydration, I recommend that you give Ceramiracle a try!
