Pink Hair for Hope with Hairdreams Singapore

Hi Loves!

You might have noticed the pink streaks in my hair since last week. I paid a visit to Hairdreams Singapore to experience and share about their ‘Pink Hair for Hope’ campaign and hair creation package which costs $80, and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation and is available for the whole month of October.

This includes the application of the stripes, wash and blow dry, and subsequent removal at the salon. This hair creation lasts up to three months, giving those in support a chance to spread the awareness of the support for Breast Cancer.

The last time I had coloured streaks hair extensions was when I was 21… For a rock & roll themed bday party. 💁😎✊😆 I’m glad that the extensions I have now is for an even more meaningful cause!

For more information and appointment booking, visit www.hairdreams.com.sg, or call 6653 5500. Hairdreams is located at: 51 Cuppage Road #01-09, Singapore 229469 / Tel: 6653 5500

Stylista Korean Beauty & Fashion Workshop

Hi Loves!

Stylista Bloggers Korean Beauty & Fashion Workshop 0262 weeks ago, Stylista squad held our first Korean Beauty & Fashion workshop and here’s what went down!

Thanks to our location sponsor Park Regis Singapore, we held a cosy and intimate workshop session at their Melbourn Room on level 2. I recommend this hotel for business travellers as it’s conveniently located 5 min away from Clark Quay MRT station, plus you can also enjoy the night life nearby after work. It’s also great for a local staycation over the weekends as it’s newly refurbished and fully equipped with swimming pool, gym and dining restaurants.
Park Regis Singapore 001Before the event took place, we had a quick tour around the hotel and it’s lovely! Once entering the hotel at ground floor, you’ll find seating spaces, restaurant and bar to hang out and chill.
Park Regis Singapore 003At the check in lobby, you’ll find free flow refreshment drink and a long counter that comes with seats to cater to the business travellers that come in from long haul flights.

There are 202 rooms and they come in 4 types; Park,  Merchant,  Quay & Regis (Suites). Park and Merchant are the standard rooms, with Park facing the office buildings while Merchant has a view of Clark Quay. Quay rooms are on the second floor with direct exit to the pool. Regis refer to the exclusive suite rooms.

Park Regis Singapore 012 Park Regis Singapore 013 Park Regis Singapore 010 Park Regis Singapore 007 Park Regis Singapore 006Regis rooms are suite rooms located from the 2nd to the 7th floor, they are bigger and some come with attached balcony, as in the one above that we viewed.

After the tour, we got back to the function room to prepare for the event.  Thanks to Floral Garage Singapore for sponsoring the floral arrangements for the table setting and baby breaths for our attendees’ goodie bag!

Next up, we shared about key Korean skincare and makeup looks, trends and tips using our makeup partner, LANEIGE products.

We hope that all of you learnt a thing or two about Korean beauty and fashion trends, enjoyed the session and will make full use of the items and vouchers from the goodie bag!

Stylista Bloggers Korean Beauty & Fashion Workshop 027Not forgetting our hair sponsor Chez Vous for the hair services vouchers, Polished Hand + Foot Spa for mani+pedi vouchers as well as Kenny Bite Production for capturing the event happenings!

Last but not the least, the event would not have been possible without my squad and fellow bloggers: Celine, Vinna & Alene.

Stylista Bloggers Korean Beauty & Fashion Workshop 008With a heart full of love and gratitude, I’d like to also give special thanks to my sisters & friends Jia Hui, Lu Jia, Ying Ling, Christabelle, Clarabelle, Leanne, Smita and Leon. Thank you for your prayers and encouragements. Thank you Jesus that you’ve made it all possible. It hasn’t been an easy journey to organize and prepare for an event like this for the first time but it’s made possible because everything fell into place with thanks to our sponsors and in accordance to God’s perfect timing. The Stylista squad definitely has a lot to improve on and we’ve definitely learnt a lot from this. If there’s only one thing you can take away from my post today, I hope it’s this:

You will never be fully prepared to fulfil your goals. Whether you fail or succeed, the act of taking a risk will stretch you. And it’s in taking that step of faith, out of your comfort zone that you will learn much and be closer to your goals. Don’t stop dreaming and never give up. One day you’ll look back and be thankful that you didn’t give up.

If you haven’t, be sure to follow me on IG @ena_teo for my updates!

Casual Days

Hi Loves!

What’s your idea of a casual weekend? Mine’s definitely hanging with family or friends over food – whether cafe hopping, at the mall’s, my place or theirs. Had the chance to pop by Christabelle‘s place the other weekend and took the chance to also take some outfit shots around her place. And while reviewing these photos, I belatedly realize… that I am back to leaning towards monochrome colours for my wardrobe. Black, white & greys are just so easy to mix and match with… and easy to throw on in the morning too!

Although I have 2 similar dresses, one sleeveless and another short-sleeved, I just needed to get this when I saw it, hahaha. #Obsessed. I imagine this is the perfect dress to wear to support your favourite boy or sports player for a game. Throw on a black moto jacket or a jazzy bomber jacket and you’re ready to attend a concert or throw a party for your favourite rockstar. This particular dress is sold out, for more Unif dresses, check out Revolve Clothing here. I got this DIOR NOT WAR singlet/tee from Malacca! Sometimes you can get really cute slogan tees from the market stalls. If you’re looking for something similar online, see this. Or if you prefer sleeved tees, which are reallyyy comfy, I totally recommend this cute OBEY Glitch Garden tee.  For shorts, nothing else beats American Eagle’s Outfitters’. I got these cut off shorts at their Vivo City outlet, I highly recommend you check them out if you haven’t! Photoworthy Captures at ION Orchard’s The Fashion Playhouse

Hi Loves!

A few days ago I had the pleasure to visit ION Orchard’s The Fashion Playhouse with 2 Fashion Inversion rooms; one where you’ll look like you’re floating in mid air and another where you’ll look like a giant when you’re standing on the right side of the room. There’s also a Fashion Reflection room where you can lie on the floor and look like you’re on the front cover of a magazine! It’s definitely something cute, fashionable and photo-worthy.
ION Fashion Playhouse 2015 003ION Fashion Playhouse 2015 002 ION Fashion Playhouse 2015 001

Unfortunately, the Fashion Reflection room was not in working order the day I was there. So there’s no photos of that room.

The Fashion Playhouse opens from 11am to 8pm daily to shoppers who spend a minimum of S$80 at ION Orchard.  In collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board, ION Orchard is offering free admission for shoppers to the fashion playrooms, and all they need to do is to post at least three Instagram posts with the hashtag #IONPlayhouse and #OrchardRoad. The Fashion Playhouse will be located at ION2 from 24 September to 21 October.

Contingency plans have also been put in place in light of the haze.  The outdoor Fashion Playhouse will be closed if the PSI readings exceed the unhealthy range (above 150).  Signs will be placed at the entrance of the Fashion Playhouse to encourage shoppers to minimise prolonged outdoor activities, or redirect shoppers accordingly.

Aside from the Fashion Playhouse, shoppers will also be inspired by the larger-than-life doll-houses on Levels 2 and 3 of ION Orchard.  These carefully styled doll houses showcase the latest collections from the mall’s best-loved brands such as Bally, Diane von Furstenberg and Dsquared2 among others.

Also part of the Autumn Winter Fashion Season are a series of shopper workshops and shopping deals throughout the season, including the perfect accessory this fall – a limited edition Dian Von Furstenberg scarf – with a minimum of $1,000 spent.

Have fun checking out the Fashion Playhouses and shopping at ION Orchard! 😉

Thank you Daphne from Weber Shanwick Singapore PR for the kind invite! Also thanks to the friendly staffs on site for taking the photos for me and posing with me too! 🙂

Relaxing Weekend Getaway at ParkRoyal On Pickering

Hi Loves!

Recently I had the pleasure to indulge in a staycation at ParkRoyal  on Pickering, Singapore’s first hotel in a garden. The entire stay passed like a breeze, thanks to the great service, wonderful lush atmosphere and lovely food and drinks served. My bestie Fion and I stayed at the Orchid Club Deluxe Room and enjoyed access to the Orchid Club Lounge which provides afternoon tea, cocktail and breakfast. I fell in love with the hotel’s architecture which integrates organic lines and greenery so seamlessly. All in all, I definitely recommend this place as a weekend getaway for locals and a hotel of choice for foreigners! If you’re looking for activities recommendations, check out The Ultimate Singapore Day Out web app to plan your day according to your personality. 😉

A while back a group of Clozette ambassadors and I attended Fashion Steps Out 2015 @ Orchard Road and here are the photos from the media preview and actual evening! Sweet Valentines with ETUDE HOUSE Singapore; Eyes, Lips & Nails Talk

Hi Loves!

So Etude House launched their flagship store at Wisma Atria basement back in October and if you haven’t, be sure to check them out there! It’s my favourite outlet out of the many island wide cause it’s so conveniently located and I can always check in for their new products and colours whenever I’m in town. I know I am really super late (am really working on keeping up to speed with all the events and products reviews! #fighting!) but in case you haven’t already seen, or even if you have, I am sure you can still admire and appreciate the products again! Hahaha! So, going back to topic, Etude House launched a Give Me Chocolate Valentines Day collection, along with their Stay Up Foundation and Dear My Wish lips talk to create a sweet V’ Day look. Face Your Inner Demons // DEPRESSION Spring Summer 2015 @ DFW2014

DEPRESSION introduced their SS 2015 collection titled “Inner Demons” to much applause at Digital Fashion Week 2014. I love the womenswear in this very street style chic collection and would totes wear all of them out. DEPRESSION is arguably Singapore’s most recognisable local label and that is undoubtedly testament to the super duo Kenny & Andrew’s talent in story telling, persistent and unending efforts in introducing compelling collections every season and cross promotions with brands and celebrities. New and inspiring local designers and labels should definitely study them as a role model on how to succeed in SG and beyond. It is thus definitely well deserved that they are included in the SG50 book as one of the pride and representative of local brand and talents. Fashion Stylist Keith Png’s Tips for Different Body Types

A preppy chic male outfit~Keith Png Fashion Workshop for Tommy Hilfiger 003

Keith styling the model with a scarf – a little accessory goes a long way! Also, he shared that pear shaped women should use a clutch strategically over the waist area during events and photo-taking to give a slimmer silhouette! I love this tip!

Keith Png Fashion Workshop for Tommy Hilfiger 004 Keith Png Fashion Workshop for Tommy Hilfiger 005

Pear-shaped women should also dress with dark bottoms and brighter or patterned tops, just like the outfit he picked out above.

Another tip Keith shared was to use bags that are wider instead of longer, because it completes the overall look better – plus from personally experience, wider bags are more functional! Keith Png Fashion Workshop for Tommy Hilfiger 007 Keith Png Fashion Workshop for Tommy Hilfiger 008

One more tip for women who would like to have a fuller bust, is to wear outfits that have more details in the front as well as to accessorise with a belt and emphasise on a small/er waist.Keith Png Fashion Workshop for Tommy Hilfiger 010

Celebrating 4 Years of Enabalista

Hi Loves!

How’s your week coming along? 🙂
My Monday totally felt like a “weekend coma”; post hectic weekend coma. >_< Last week was a really long week with planning and executing my blog Enabalista’s 4th Anniversary giveaways, blogging appointments as well as work packed back to back. So I felt so lethargic at work on Monday… But then I was totally excited to meet up with my girlies at work for dinner at Saveur heheh.

Before it gets too late, I’d like to share my thoughts on reaching Enabalista’s 4th Anniversary! ^^,

On my Instagram last Thursday, which is also the very date of my very first post on this blog (30th Oct), I posted a series of #TBT photos that encapsulates 4 of my passions and popular topics on my blog:

Enabalista 4th Anniversary Fashion Beauty Travel Food 001

Fashion
I started off this blog to share photos and thoughts of fashion shows that I attended when I was a fashion student. I had the chance to attend many local fashion shows while assisting backstage and also as my BFF, Bini’s guest for the premium shows such as Chanel.

Enabalista 4th Anniversary Fashion Beauty Travel Food 003

Beauty
Not long after, I also started to review beauty products, starting off with skincare and a ton of lip care products. In the course of 4 years, I’ve had the pleasure to review many brands, as seen in the photo and also recommended many of them to you my readers, as well as family and friends.

Enabalista 4th Anniversary Fashion Beauty Travel Food 002

Travel
If you’ve been following my blog long enough, you’ll also know that I love to travel and to blog about my travels. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to travel far for 2014, apart from Malaysia and even for those short trips I also haven’t had the time to post up photos. >_< If you’re new to my blog, I hope you’ll enjoy reading about my trips to Seoul, HK, Japan & London. 🙂

Food
As a true Singaporean, I’m a big fan of fine cuisine! I love to enjoy good food and I love to share where all these delicious food are on my blog here.

My Blogging Philosophy
With 4 years of blogging, I’ve come to realize that my blogging philosophy is sharing about my positive experiences, whether it’s about the 4 topics above or beyond. I relish in new, exciting & enjoyable experiences. Personally I feel that the best gift one can give & receive is spending time together and what better way is there to do than to enjoy a good experience together? 🙂

Additionally, I like to think that my posts are “edu-taining”- educational and entertaining at the same time! My wish is that when readers come to my blog, they’ll soak up new knowledge about fashion, beauty, travel & food while also really enjoy my reviews and photos. Basically every blog post is crafted according to how I would enjoy reading it as a reader! 😉

Etude House Wisma Flagship Store Opening

Did I start out my blog 4 years ago thinking it’d reach where it is today?
Absolutely not. As I mentioned above, I started out blogging to post information and photos that I was passionate about. On hindsight, these information that I have are also exclusive, so blogging is really a great way to share these exciting information and meet bloggers and readers alike who are equally passionate about these topics as I am. It was only in mid-end 2011 that I started to blog quite industriously and was posting up more content in terms of events that I attended and beauty products I’ve tried.

Best Singapore Lifestyle Blog 2013
Then December 2013 came around and I still remember that I was at my church’s 50th anniversary camp at Malacca when I was in the hotel room I shared with my friend Talia and reading the email from HotelClub.com that they have selected me to be one of the “Best Singapore Lifestyle Blog 2013“. I was super stoked and I was incredibly happy, excited and thankful to be recognized for this blog that I’ve been passionately maintaining.

Screen Shot 2014-11-04 at 4.05.15 pmKose Cinderella Finalists & Tricia Ong

Then Jan 2014 came around and I started to receive an influx of invitations from brands for events and reviews. Two very exciting things also happened for me in mid 2014, I took part in Kose Cinderella contest and OMY Best Beauty Blogs contest, one after the other. Although I didn’t win either one of it, I’m still very thankful for my family and friends who have shown so much support for me and through these contests I’ve also got to know the lovely ladies who took part in the contests and these connections are truly invaluable.

Singapore’s Lifestyle Blog
2014 also marks the year where I clearly defined that I wanted my blog to be recognized as a lifestyle blog. I am passionate about things beyond just 1 topic, and I don’t want to limit myself to be only blogging about one topic. So sometime around January this year, I set a goal that I wanted my blog to be known and ranked top as “Singapore’s Lifestyle Blog/Blogger” on Google. Lo & behold, after about 100 posts in 2014 alone, my dream came true in October this year and I was very thankful when a PR contact introduced me as “Singapore’s leading lifestyle blogger”. I don’t know if I am able to maintain my blog’s Google ranking, or how long I can maintain it for, but I know that if more readers enjoy reading what I blog about, then the easier it would be to sustain the ranking. 🙂

The future ahead
Like 4 years ago, I’m not sure where my blog will be headed to in another 4 years. But I do know for sure that I’ll continue to be passionately sharing about my positive experiences for Fashion, Beauty, Travel & Food. Currently there are 2 things that I wish to accomplish: 1. Publish a book about Lifestyle; an editorial summary of topics similar to my blog 2. Produce a series of diary/organizers. However right now I have too much on my plate for work and blogging that I am KIV-ing these goals that I wish to achieve until the time is right. If you’re reading this and would like to partner me to accomplish these goals, email me and we’ll see how we can set things in motion. 🙂

Last but definitely not the least, I want to thank God for His providence and guidance for my life and blog and my family and friends for their support and encouragement. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, my dear readers and friends for reading my blog. 🙂

If you haven’t, be sure to check out these 4 awesome giveaways that I am currently running on my IG, FB & Clozette:

Enabalista’s 1st Fashion & Beauty Blog Sale!

Hi Lovelies!

It’s my first blog sale and I hope that some of you will be able to benefit and share in the joy of these items for sale! 🙂

In case you’re wondering why I’m hosting a blog sale; I only have 1 body and that includes 1 face, so I can’t wear that many clothes or use so many products concurrently.  For most of the clothes, I have been gifted (mum, aunt, etc) and I realize that though I really like most of them and have kept some for a while, it’s just not my style to wear. And for others, I don’t see myself wearing them again but they’re still in fair condition(girls tend to like variety, right? :P). Then for the beauty products, some of them are doubles/dupes, I have either bought or been gifted the extra/similar and I can’t possibly finish using them especially when I acquire new products on a monthly basis. It’s definitely a good problem to have and therefore I’m letting all these products go way below their market value, at 10-30% of the retail price (r.p.) because I don’t want to let them go to waste. I also hope some of you will enjoy using these products as well. 🙂

Enabalista Blog Sale 001

Things to take note/How it works:
1. To purchase, email me your name and the item number, description with the price $X that you want to purchase.
2. I will email reply with my bank details for payment via bank transfer/ibanking, assuming that item is still available. If item is sold, I will reply to let you know as well.
3. Once payment has been transferred, please email me the transaction number and your address.
4. Due to my busy work and blogging schedule, please allow 3 working days (Mon – Fri) to have your items delivered after payment.
5. Any questions should be directed to my email: enabalista @ gmail.com (without the gaps). I reply to emails faster than I do to comments. Should you leave your questions under comments, I may also reply you via email.
6. No trades, no negotiations & no refunds. All items come in As Is condition.
7. Items will be sold on first come first serve basis.
8. All prices includes normal postage. Additional $2.24 (includes GST) applicable for local registered article, available upon request.
9. Blog Sale open to local Singapore Residents until 31 August or till items are sold out, whichever is earlier. If the response of the sale is good and I am able to cope with the inquiries and deliveries, I may add on new products and transfer this to a page to keep a continuous tab for my blog. So come back and check on the progress! It would be great if you could email me or comment here with your thoughts about this sale. 😉

Currently Trending World Cup 2014 Fashion & Beauty

What’s awesome about World Cup isn’t just about the hot guys, skilled players & nice jerseys & kicks.

It’s also the patriotism & the camaraderie that the games bring out in people.
It’s being able to get together and root for the same team/people/person *ahem Germany & Klose winning his record breaking 16th World Cup goal, woohoo!*.

It’s being able to put aside our various differences and arguments aside for a while and be one the same side for a while. Or even to agree to disagree and be on different sides, sometimes it’s also fun that way, isn’t it?

Whether you happen to be rooting for the same team with your friends or not, there are some World Cup inspired Fashion and Beauty products that you all can still appreciate together! 😉

061114-ej-world-cup-567

Designed by the Olsen Twins, under the TEXTILE Elizabeth & James label, these World Cup inspired Tees are exclusively available on Shop Bop here. Singlets and shirts, US$88-92.

For a more affordable alternative, we can always trust on Forever 21 to provide some very on point and comfy fashion choices. Titled Soccer Collection and now at a very generous 40% offer, items are running out quickly, prices US$6.80-14.80 including men’s items here.

This is a pair of very quirky Karl Lagerfeld x Melissa shoe with a soccer ball as the ornament. Definitely shows you’re a very ball-sy kind of gal. Ha! 😉 For the full collection, here.061214-world-cup-fashion-1-567

I actually think this is really cute. TOMS designed a very pretty “all countries flags gathered together” print shoe. Also will be appropriate in another 2 years for Olympics. Heh. US$54 on Toms site here.Charlotte-Olympia-bags

Fancy carrying your patriotism on your clutch? Apparently Charlotte Olympia thinks so! This would be awesome for the respective countries’ independence day too. 🙂

Kate Spade keeps it classy and simple with a soccer inspired wallet. Definitely for a soccer fan type of girl.

MCM shows a little more child like influence in their soccer inspired bag with an obvious Brazilian coloured theme.

For the hardcore and wealthy soccer fans, getting a watch might be timely (pun intended) for the season.

Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard Road 2014

Hello Lovelies! <3 <3 <3

Terribly overdue photos from Fashion Steps Out (FSO) 2014 back in early April.

It was a rather last minute decision for me to head down that evening (the same day I attended Kose event the day earlier, hence in the same look and dress. :p) Omg, yes that’s how embarrassingly long ago these photos are. >.<

Many thanks to Shn and clozette for the ticket! 😀 <3

A grand total of 137 photos & movie clips, let’s go!

Me shamelessly taking selfies on the train towards Orchard, what to do, I really like my look with Estee Lauder’s signature lipstick in 62 Scarlet on my lips. <3

Ending off with my instavideo which I posted on Instagram too!

I really enjoyed myself that night soaking in the fun carnival like nature of FSO, it’s fashion that’s not to be taken too seriously, a totally new experience for me! It was also really lovely to see international and local designs coming down Orchard road and to see what’s on trend for summer – lots of edgy asymmetrical and cut outs, floral prints and bright colours! 😉

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did reminiscing over it!

Thanks to Clozette for the ticket and be sure to check them out here and my page here. 😉
