Watch Blake Lively Ooze with Confidence in Gucci Premiere EDT

Are you a lover of fragrance and looking for a scent that’s empowering yet sufficiently delicate for everyday wear?

Look no further. This year, Gucci introduces their Gucci Premiere Eau De Toilette, which is a lighter, brighter and more delicate incarnate of the signature Gucci Premiere.

IMG_4229.JPG

The Gucci Premiere fragrance range takes its inspiration from the Gucci Premiere couture collection that debuted at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. The luxurious couture gowns have been created to dress the likes of Hollywood starlets such as Jessica Alba, Cameron Dias and Li Bing Bing.

IMG_4228.JPG

The face of Gucci Premiere, Blake Lively reprises her role for the new and softer Eau de Toilette. Blake Lively is no stranger to the Hollywood scene since her entry as the sexy and remarkable Serena Van Der Woodsen of Gossip Girl fame. The image that Lively portrays in and out of the show is consistently attractive and show-stopping, further heightened by her much talked about romance and marriage with Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds.

IMG_4230.JPG

While adhering absolutely to the beautiful fragrance silhouette of the original Eau de Parfum, Gucci Première Eau de Toilette has a new bold brightness – radiant flowers and sparkling citrus notes bring a new lightness to the fragrance. The initial bloom triggers a luminous elegance and effervescence, the orange blossom and the light citrus oils combine to give you a sensation that suggests the pouring of a cold bottle of vintage champagne into a tall, elegant glass. The elegant sparkle of the top notes slowly yield to the radiant white flowers at the heart of the fragrance of freesia, jasmine and soft Bulgarian rose. As the fragrances dries on skin, the subtle but tenacious warmth of leather, patchouli and musky notes complete the fragrance’s captivating charisma.

Watch the campaign for the launch of the new Gucci Première Eau de Toilette starring Blake Lively, doing what she does best; sashaying in the light with sensual elegance while oozing with confidence. You’re welcome. 😉

Did you enjoy this video clip like I did? 😉

My First Visit to Atlas Medical Laser & Aesthetics Clinic

Hi Lovelies!

Atlas Medical Clinic Blog Review Enabalista 000_new

Last week I was invited down and I had my first visit and consultation session at Atlas Medical Laser & Aesthetics Clinic by Dr SM Yuen and I’m here to share with you my experience!

Upon entering I had to fill in my particulars and a form with questions about my health, my skin concerns and past experiences (if any) with aesthetics treatments.

After which I was ushered into a room to change into a spa towel (towel wrapped around body) so that it can facilitate the consultation as I wanted to consult Dr Yuen about the treatments for my back acne / scars.

The consultation with Dr Yuen went very smoothly, after a short introduction and expressing my skin concerns (dull skin, large pores around nose, mild acne / pimples). Dr Yuen suggested the Silk Peel treatment to maintain and rejuvenate my skin. I am quite excited to go through the first session scheduled next week and I’ll be back to report about it. 😉 Additionally I’ll also be starting on a new clinical skincare system, designed by Dr Yuen himself; the Rose 2 system which is hydrating and gentle:

From left to right: Hydra Relief, Skin Perfecting Moisturizer ($89), Splash Away Gentle Purifying Cleanser($69), UV shield SPF 30 PA+++($69).

Atlas Medical Clinic Blog Review Enabalista 001_new

I have started using the system since the visit, for a few days now and I am really loving the moisturizer. It’s liquid gel and very hydrating. I enjoy using the cleanser as well as it can double up to remove light make up so it’s super helpful now that I’m in Malaysia for a short work trip and I forgot my make up cleanser. The formulation for UV shield / sunblock has room for improvement as it’s a tad dry and is best applied right after the moisturizer (while face is still moist) so that is smoother. However what’s great about it is that it can double up as a make up base for me, and after a day’s wear my face isn’t oily, which can be in Singapore’s humid weather.

Atlas Medical Clinic Blog Review Enabalista 003_new

A little more about Dr Yuen, he started Atlas Medical Clinic about 6 years ago and this is the wall of certification of his degrees and skills acquired over the years. A lot of his skills are acquired from Korean aesthetic doctors so he adopted a Korean style of aesthetic treatments and skincare, which tends to be gentle and refined.

Atlas Medical Clinic was also awarded Best for Overall Skin Rejuvenation Treatment.

Achieve Youthful Light with Estée Lauder ANR Eye Synchronized Complex II Serum & Cream

Hi Lovelies!

It’s no secret that I’m a personal fan of Estée Lauder. And like many, I have been introduced and fallen in love with their Advanced Night Repair serum and now consider it one of my HG serum. I’m not sure about you, but I do think that serums start to come in handy as our skin age so that they can help to nourish and/or maintain the youthfulness of our skin. And truth be told, I’m not a big fan of serums as I generally find them to be too rich (read: oily or greasy) for my combination skin and occasionally pimple outbreak. However I can attest that after using the ANR serum for 2 years, I now consider it my magic potion and I apply it in the night before I sleep and in the morning after I wake up I find the blemishes on my skin is reduced remarkably and has an overall radiance and glow. It’s no wonder that the ANR is the best selling product of Estée Lauder. With amazing results as such, what’s not to love?! Well, the price may be a little steep but a little of this magic potion goes a long way and it’s a price of beauty that I think is worth paying.

IMG_9419.JPG

So a while back, I was invited down for an EL event featuring their ANR Eye Synchronized Complex II Serum & Cream and here’s photos from the lovely event held at the Fullerton Bay Hotel Floating Pod. It was an exciting and moving (literally) event. :p

IMG_9418.JPG
The stars of the event; ANR Eye Synchronized Complex II Serum & Cream, alongside the widely raved (me included) ANR.

IMG_9393.JPG
Estée Lauder trainer, Belda came in to educate us about the new range.

And here are my key takeaways from Belda’s presentation (note the headers are the main points and the paragraphs after are my personal elaborations):

1. Light = Youth
The younger the skin, the more it is able to reflect light. And that is why retaining the suppleness and fairness of the skin are keys to retaining the youth of the skin.

In fact, in light (pun intended) of this perspective, Estée Lauder has now introduced the Youth Light measurement as an Estée Lauder proprietary testing method / measurement to measure the age of the eyes.

2. Ozone = Cellular Damage
The air, sun, dirt in the environment we are exposed to, especially in the city, causes cellular damage. No surprise there, honey. Unless you’re able to somehow find solace in the Swiss mountain alps or somewhere of equivalent purity, we can’t run away from the exhaust from cars on the road, industrial factories and not to mention occasionally forest fires from neighboring countries. I hate to encourage fear where none ought to be due, and perhaps we’re not all going to start sleeping in oxygenated (not pure but in higher concentrations) rooms (which is too pricey anyways and only the likes of Mariah Carey can afford). But this is a fact of life, as we should know that 1 in 4 adults will have cancer in their lives, we may not wake up each day in fear that we will have cancer but we can surely start to use this knowledge to empower us towards healthier living.

3. Skin is 40% thinner around eyes
And that is also why the formulation differs from the regular ANR and the ANR Synchronized Complex II Serum and Cream.

4. Catabolysis Purification of Skin
I know, Catabolysis is a huge word and you’re wondering what it means. To put it simply, the geniuses in the Estée Lauder labs have found a way to formulate the ANR Eye and Cream serum to activate the skin in the way that it will renew itself, and hence purify the skin.

IMG_9397-0.JPG

How the Estée Lauder Eye Synchronized Complex II Cream looks like before application.

IMG_9400-0.JPG

Estée Lauder Eye Synchronized Complex II Cream after application.

It’s gel like in consistency and compared to the serum it is also thicker and heavier. It is recommended to use this cream as a total eye serum product, so you don’t have to layer it. Generally we apply skincare products on our skin avoiding the eye area as it might be too strong, then you can use this to cover the eye area.

IMG_9398.JPG

IMG_9399.JPG

How the Estée Lauder Synchronized Complex II Serum looks like before and after.

It is more liquid based and beige/ cream in colour. Compared to the cream it is lighter in texture and consistency. Due to the nature of my skin as mentioned at the beginning of this post, I tend to prefer using this serum over the cream. I love that it’s stored in a pump dispenser allowing ease and convenience of use. I love to use this on the night before I have little sleep or have to wake up earlier and it helps to lighten my dark eye circles. I can’t promise that it will work magic for you, if you constantly work and sleep late but it’s definitely worth a try.

As a huge fan of the ANR, I embrace these two eye serum and cream into my ANR family.

Get Protected with Bioderma’s Photoderm

Hi Lovelies!

I believe most of you are already aware of the skincare brand Bioderma, especially for their HG product, Bioderma Sensibio H2O water based makeup remover which I also love and have reviewed before here.

What I’m introducing today is their range of sunblocks; Bioderma Photoderm!

Bioderma Photoderm Mood Visual

Bioderma’s Photoderm range aims to protect all skin types.

BioDerma PhotoDerm Enabalista Blog Review 005_new

I put Photoderm Max SPF50+ and Photoderm Spot SPF50+ to test and for review.

BioDerma PhotoDerm Enabalista Blog Review 006_new

Bioderma Photoderm MAX SPF 50+ DRY TOUCH formula boast to be super effective sun protection with high anti UVA and UVB filters and a dry touch finish perfect for our humid weather. PLUS the entire Photoderm range boasts to include“the Cellular Bioprotection patent which protects 99.8% of cellular DNA to prevent free radical damage, protects and activates the immune system cells and protects cell integrity.

BioDerma PhotoDerm Enabalista Blog Review 008_new

Bioderma Photoderm Max SPF 50+ is white and milky in consistency. BioDerma PhotoDerm Enabalista Blog Review 009_new

Bioderma Photoderm Max SPF 50+ is colourless on skin after application. No greasiness and also dry finish as touted yet without being drying, flaky or cakey. Yes, it is impressive for a sunblock.

I used the Bioderma Photoderm Max SPF 50+ and tested it with a few of my other usual skincare routine products and found out that it is 1) best used after my water based moisturizer as it will apply on even smoother. 2) It applies smoothly on bare skin but I prefer it with a layer of moisturizer before. 3) I didn’t like it when I apply it above a layer of serum, perhaps because my serum was slightly gelish in consistency and the sunblock felt a bit too much above the serum.

Therefore my verdict and recommendation is that it can be used on bare skin but better with a bit of moisturizer before.

I enjoyed using this sunblock and I would recommend it especially for athletes or anyone who works under the sun often and want something that protects your skin while being gentle and non-comedogenic (not acne causing).

BioDerma PhotoDerm Enabalista Blog Review 010_new

Bioderma Photoderm SPOT SPF 50+ is also white and milky. For comparison, it is also slightly thicker and greasier than the MAX version above.

BioDerma PhotoDerm Enabalista Blog Review 011_new

After application it is clear and leaves a slightly greasy feel that most strong sunblocks leave, in my opinion.

This Photoderm SPOT SPF50+ was specially formulated for brown spots and scars, it “prevents the appearance of pigment spots thanks to galbridrine, which is capable of inhibiting melanin synthesis.” So I use it mainly/only on my acne spots/pimples as it usually leaves a brown spot after.

I included this duo in my morning routine:

Yes you can use these on foundation free days, as I did. 😉

Check out the other products and prices in the Bioderma Photoderm range. You can buy them from selected Guardian stores across Singapore. Bioderma Photoderm Press Release June 2014

What’s your favourite sunscreen when you need extra production out in the sun? Let me know. 😉

Achieve Beautiful Eyes with AB Eye Tapes

Hi Lovelies!

Are you like me, Asian with tiny eyes? 😛

Well, I have a beauty secret not-so-secret to share with you!

Some time back, AB beauty brand invited me down for a beauty demonstration led by Kevin Lao Shi, a famous beauty trainer and make up artist from Taiwan who’s famous for teaching his skills on Taiwan TV beauty programmes.

AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Blogger Event 004_new

Charming Kevin on the poster!

Kevin with host of the day, DJ Jia Hui.

AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Blogger Event 003_new

Kevin begins to swiftly work his magic on the model of the day with “stubborn” single eye lids, according to him.AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Blogger Event 006_new

It’s amazing how Kevin transformed her small asian eye (like mine) into big, beautiful and charming! Unfortunately the lightning in the store was really terrible and this is the best I could get. Sorry for the poor quality. :/ AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Blogger Event 005_new

With my dear friend Vinna of www.Vinvola.com ~ 😉

And these are the lovely AB eye products that we were gifted with!AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 001_new

From L-R:
Fabric Eye Wick (white) to thicken eye lash bone, for fuller looking eye lashes, $$16.90.
Single Eye Tape (yellow), this is my favourite because it suits my single eye lids the best, haha. S$23.90.
Mezical (not sure what it means) Eye Fiber 2 (orange), is basically a thin double sided sticker meant to create double eye lids. It requires more practice for this and you can able use up to 2 pieces at once. I tried using this but I have rather “stubborn” single eye lids as well so the effect isn’t very good on me. I would recommend this for people who already have double eye lid folds and want to further accentuate / define it. 🙂 S$28.90.
Double Eye Tape (Green) is a double eye tape that’s meant for “one touch” fast and easy application. S$23.90.
Double Eye Tape (Brown) is similar to the Yellow Single Eye Tape except it isn’t as thick. S$23.90.
AB Double Eye Liquid (Purple) S$19.90.

AB Eye Tapes and Liquid is available at SaSa stores in Singapore.

Close ups of the respective packaging, basically all the eyes look similar and the sticker of the girls are the same… So it is slightly misleading. 😛 But the wordings, the colours and items within are different. 🙂

AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 002_new AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 003_new The purple tube is double eye lid glue, I reckon this is for girls who have reached a pro level in creating double eye lids during their make up. You can also use this for eye lash application / glue as well as using it to stick on the Eye Wick (white), which was what I did to create my Big Eye look in this post.

AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 004_new

My favourite of the lot; Single Eye Tape (Yellow) for Double Eyelid effect!
AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 005_new

There are 80 single tapes, which would be suitable for 40 wears (should you use on both eyes), and should last for more than a month if you use it daily! 😉

These are the items I used for the look:AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 006_new

AB Beautiful Eye Sticker Review 007_new

Single Eye Tape, Eye Lid Glue, Fabric Eye Wick and Tokyo Direct’s Star Lash Eye lashes in DB17 (non AB product).

Basically I first put on the Single Eye Tape to create double eye lids on my single eye lids. Lol.
Then I put on my regular eye shadow / make up.
Then I put on the Eye Wick on my falsies before putting on the falsies!

I took about 1 hour (I generally don’t put on eye lid tape or falsies, with experience I think you can minimize the time to 20 min) to achieve this look:

AB Eye Stickers2014-06-15 15.52.50_new

Since I went with eyelid tapes and falsies, I also went all the way to line my lower waterline with white liner, cat liner and also lined my lower outer eye corner / rim with black liner to achieve this huge doll eyed look. 😉 This is a look that you definitely can recreate for a special event, like attending a concert or a special dinner.

I highly recommend AB eye lid tapes, I’ve used a handful of eye tapes from SASA, where AB products are available and honestly none of them are as good as AB tapes. Some of them stick and I’ve finished using, and some of them don’t stick at all and its a waste of money and the best part is that they all don’t have ostensible/obvious branding/names so even if I wanted to recommend you I also can’t. I think they were Japanese brands and I can’t read or type Japanese, lol. So it’s great that this AB eye lid tape brand trusted by  many and raved in Taiwan, can now also be used by us in Singapore! 🙂

I specially recommend their single / double eye tapes depending on your eyelid needs. AB eye tapes are not too thick but they stick really well and they help to create that magical fold for the double eye lid effect. Yet it doesn’t hurt when you remove it. This stuff is nothing short of amazing.

I was very satisfied with how the look came out on photo, but I am still not used to carrying falsies which can be quite heavy on my lids. I would continue using the AB eye tapes to create double eye lid look, without the falsies, on a normal day. 😉

Let me know if you have any questions!

My Illamasqua Makeover Experience

Hi Lovelies!

If you’ve been following me on my Instagram @ena_teo, you’ll know that early last weekend, I had a makeover at Illamasqua’s counter at Robinsons Orchard.

Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-06 18.40.14_new

I was excited to be invited down for the makeover by Illamasqua because I’ve long heard of this cult British brand since it came upon Singapore’s shores late last year and I’ve also had the pleasure of checking them out at their first counter at Selfridges while I was in London UK.

1230092_561492393912634_1626405504_nFor the uninitiated, Illamasqua debuted in the UK in 2008 and aims to empower people to express their individuality. As their website so eloquently puts it. “Champions of creativity and fighting against injustice wherever we go, our highly-pigmented, long lasting products provide consumers and make-up artists alike with the products and inspiration to ensure they can express themselves, whoever they are and whatever look they want to achieve.”

They now have 3 standalone stores in the UK, along with many department stores stocking them as well as in Australia, Middle East, Thailand and now in Singapore as well. They are also found in the US market through Sephora stores.

Let’s just go straight to how it was, shall we?

Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-08 18.31.49_new

I went down with skincare, sunblock, brows drawn and a light coat of lipstick on my face. 🙂

The last 2-3 weeks I’ve been plagued with all the summer viruses you can think of; sore throat, fever, flu… and I was just recovering (and still am recovering, lol). 😛 So after being quite sick for the week, I was glad to be recovering and heading out with my friends that night! The makeover came in very timely. 🙂

And these are the make up that worked magic under the skilful hands of make up artist Eryn!

I LOVE the smokey eye effect and how sophisticated it looks on my tiny asian eyes! 🙂 I also love the mix of lipsticks that look like a mixture of plum and red wine. 😉

And here’s the second set of photos with more definition on the eyes, cheeks, a coat of  lipstick in Underworld on the lips for that added drama and oomph!

If the photos above made me feel like I was ready for a red carpet event, then the ones below made me feel like I was ready to step onto the scene of a Twilight movie scene! #asianvampire #hollywoodambition 😛

With my eye-lids closed to showcase the full effect of the beautiful ombre done! <3

Full list of Illamasqua products used for the makeover:

Hydraveil – $58 Skin Base 08 – $59.50 Powder Foundation PF210 – $65 Cream Pigment Emerge – $40 Powder Eyeshadow Wolf / Tango / Machine – $33 Each Powder Blusher Nymph / Thrust / Disobey – $44 Each Lipsticks Shard / ESP – $34 Each Colouring Lips Lust – $31 Raven Mascara – $32

I personally recommend Hydraveil, which is a cosmetic base similar to a primer for normal to oily skin, This stuff is good. It hydrates the skin while prepping it for the foundation. Overall I really enjoyed the foundations – skin base liquid and powder foundations – they provided moderate coverage (what I needed and how I like it) without being too heavy or cakey. I’m also glad to attest that they stayed on 12 hours after a longgg night with my friends with a lottt of dancing and walking. And they came off easily with my usual water based makeup remover routine! And my skin did not break out whatsoever. 😉 I would also really recommend the lipsticks in the colours I’ve worn for the makeover – Shard, ESP & Underworld, just cause they’re sooo prettyyy and they were also not particularly drying either, as pigmented lip colours usually do. 🙂

Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-06 18.39.26_new

These are the skin base and primers for regular daily wear. With so many colours to choose from! 🙂 Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-06 18.39.32_new

These ones are more for stage/theatre wear with thicker coverage. And the ones on the right are the pressed powders.

Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-06 18.40.33_new

The many pretty blushers to pick from, from pastels to darker pinks, orange and purples.

Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-06 18.39.39_new

Their false eye lashes are also definitely worth checking out too! Very dramatic and you might find a perfect one for a special occasion. 🙂 Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-06 18.40.23_new

Lipsticks, one of my beauty weakness! Unlike skincare, foundations & eye makeup, this is one beauty item that I can change on a daily basis to match my mood. So it’s hard to say no to lipsticks! Look at that beautiful array! Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-08 19.57.59_new Illamasqua Makeover Enabalista2014-08-08 19.58.04_new

April Recaps

Hi Lovelies!

YES, it’s time for another monthly update! *Throws confetti in the air*

I know, I know. I am *ahem* just about 3.5 months late…
That’s not embarrassingly late at all, right? I mean, it’s not April 2015 yet, right? 😛

So, you may not believe it like I do, but somehow while I was clearing my April photos folder, I somehow managed to find photos from February and March. LOL. Some of the photos I think I didn’t published on my blog previously.

For the uninitiated/ readers new to my blog, I’ve only started a monthly update a while back, of my personal life and what nots that I find amusing but doesn’t properly fall into an event or review blog post, so I’ve decided to combine them into a major long photo post of sorts.

Anyhoo, that’s long enough for an intro, enjoy! 😉

Jap Ramen with Cheryl2014-02-19 18.49.08_newJap Ramen with Cheryl2014-02-19 20.26.37_new

Met up with Cheryl my JC classmate back in Feb, been about 5 years since we last met and she doesn’t seem to have aged at all. Still pretty and sweet as ever! We had dinner at this ramen place at the 3rd or 4th level of Parco Next Next and I believe this place has shifted out. Not too sure what the name of the place is called but they seem to serve their specialty ramen with black garlic oil. Definitely yummy!

Ena April Recap 20142014-03-23 13.44.50_new

A March pic, which I posted on my Instagram. Basically my first random/spontaneous fried rice I cooked for lunch. Leftover rice, egg, luncheon meat. Was not particularly savory but passable! Well at least it looks decent. 😛

So I’m not sure why I didn’t include these pics into my March update, basically my friends and I had brunch on the last day of March, a cafe that Jacq was quite eager to check out after reading some good reviews online; Stirling Highway.

Char & Brunch~Stirling Highway Review2014-03-30 14.48.58_new

My Salmon Eggs Benedict, which was disappointing to say the least. Very unfortunately when we reached at about 2pm, they already didn’t have quite a lot of lunch items (even though it was legit lunch time) and it was also too early for dinner items like Truffle fries. The waitress had to “check in with the kitchen” to see if we could order brunch items. It was surprising that their stock had run out on a Sunday afternoon. And the salmon in the eggs benedict was bad, as in smelled spoilt upon my first bite that I had to request to return it. For the record, I rarely ever do something like that because I know how insulting it is to the kitchen. Nonetheless they returned it back to me, citing that that’s how the Hollandaise sauce smells like… So I just removed the salmon pieces and finished my meal feeling quite absurd about the whole situation. However the only lightness of the entire situation was they decided to give me a 20% discount for the meal, although they did not admit that the Salmon was not fresh.

Therefore I would not recommend nor go back to this place. This place is also really far for me since I stay in the east, so I doubt I would go back to this place! 😛

Yes, now going to April photos proper. Lol!
April was pretty good, or at least so it seems from the photos in this post, lol.

April 1st was April Fools Day, in case you forgot. And Google is super fond of having cool stuff for everyone. So for this year’s April Fool’s special thing, it was catching Pokemon on Google Maps! I obviously went quite crazy trying to catch ’em all. Key word being trying. I didn’t managed to catch all 150 of them in 24 hours. 🙁

Oh apparently Google sent a hardcopy mail to all those who caught 150 Pokemons to “certify” them as Pokemon masters!

Go visit if you work/stay or just popping by around the area!

It’s right next to a Japanese restaurant at Lorong 4 Toa Payoh. I can’t seem to find the address online, but I’ll ask for it the next time I’m there and update here again. 😛

If you were living under a rock unaware, back in April, a small Ming dynasty-era bowl dubbed the “chicken cup” sold for 281.2 million Hong Kong dollars (US$36.3 million) at a Sotheby’s sale in Hong Kong on Tuesday, setting a record for the most expensive Chinese porcelain ever sold at auction, see article on Wall Street Journal here.

I was so impressed that I immediately when to my kitchen, took out this chicken dish, and proceeded to snap the following pictures. I am sorry to disappoint, but it’s not going to be sold for millions, it’s just priced at $2,000. Don’t ask me why it’s sold for $2,000, not $200 or $20,000. Cause you know, you shouldn’t be so caught up with the price, I just like the price $2,000. Should you be so keen to purchase this rare and exquisite item, you may email me at enabalista @ gmail.com (no gaps). 🙂

Beauty Blogger Tools & Refreshing Facial with Panasonic Facial Ionic Steamer

Hi Lovelies!

This is my final entry for SBA Best Beauty Blog contest and I’ve been having fun,I hope you’ve been having fun watching my reviews too. 😉

In my final instalment, I have 2 video demonstration and review for Panasonic’s Facial Ionic Steamer EH-SA31.

Watch my first impressions Panasonic Facial Ionic Steamer Demo & Review here:

Watch how I enjoy my Post Party Refreshing Facial video here:

My Panasonic Facial Ionic Steamer EH-SA31 Review

It’s my first time using and reviewing a home facial steamer and before that I thought that it was so much of a hassle. However after using it I realize I’m falling in love with this Facial Ionic Steamer. It’s just as Panasonic boasts it would be on their site here.

It’s a simple 6 minutes steam facial. It uses nano technology so that the steam is Nano-sized Ionic Steam particles so that our facial skin can easily absorb the moisture, thereby leaving our skin hydrated and refreshed after 6 short minutes.

I really enjoy the 6 minutes of steam on my face whenever I’m using it as the sensation is similar to a sauna experience; except only for the face. I personally feel that the heat also increases the blood circulation on the face which I feel is really great for the overall health of the facial skin; much akin to how my face feels after a good 20-30minutes jog. 🙂

So as you can also see from my videos above, the Facial Steamer is super simple to operate. All one needs to do is to fill the water container with distilled water, turn on the knob from 0 to 1 and in under 1 minute the steam begins and the 6 minutes process begins.

Also, what’s great is that after a party, the 6 minute facial also helps to remove any residual makeup that’s hard to remove around the eyes, such as mascara or eyeliner and after the facial, all one needs to do is to wipe them away. Plus the entire process is also relaxing and enjoyable.

My Panasonic Multi Styling Straightener EH-HW51K Review

Another product that I have used is the Panasonic Multi Styling Straightener EH-HW51K. Similar to the EH-HS95K Straightener, this multi styler also double ups as a hair curler, in addition to the hair straightening function. I’ll show you what it looks like:

It has 6 adapters to attach to the ceramic head for various styles, basically 1 Straightener, 1 Volumizer and another 3 different heads for varying levels of  curls from medium to extra large curls.

For photo comparison, check out my full post over at SBA blog here.

My thoughts on Panasonic Beauty Tools as a Beauty Blogger

As a lifestyle and beauty blogger, I am fortunate to get to use and review the latest beauty products and gadget in the market. Before joining this contest, I have only had experience using Panasonic Hair Dryers and other non beauty electrical products. BTW, their Hair Dryers are also well known and touted as one of the top of the brand class. 😉

On onset, it seems like a lot of these beauty products like the eyelash curler and the Ionic Steamer seem quite frivolous and non-essential, but after using it I am convinced that these beauty tools help to make complicated beauty processes available for women replicate them at home at ease and convenience. Before the heated curler came along, you could only replicate curling your eyelash with heat in the salons. But now, you can do it with ease and safety at home. Similarly with the facial steamers. These products also definitely come with a price tag but if you consider the service you pay when you go to a salon, it is definitely justifiable to pay for these products and use it for an unlimited time (until the product wears out of course) at home! 🙂

Sweet Date Look Make Up & Hair with Panasonic Eyelash Curler & Nanocare Hair Styler

Hi Lovelies~

Lately I’ve been playing with the Panasonic Beauty Tools
Eyelash Curler EH-SE60 & Panasonic Nanocare Hair  Straightener EH-HS95K
and I thought I’d create a “Sweet Date Look” skincare, makeup and hair tutorial to share how I use these tools in my daily living!

Watch the video tutorial here:

My review ~

Screen Shot 2014-07-20 at 10.44.38 pm

Panasonic Eyelash Curler EH-SE60

This eyelash curler definitely requires a little getting used to, similarly to the traditional eyelash curler/clamper, it is daunting to put a tool to close to your eyes. So what I did was to turn on the Panasonic Eyelash Curler and used my finger to touch the curler while it was turning. It was just a light sensation and so I overcome by initial fear and could confidently place it close to my eyes and curl my lashes from the base to the top. :) Unfortunately as my lashes aren’t very long and full the effect isn’t very obvious on screen. However once coated with the mascara, the natural curl effect is visible to me. :) Perhaps a down side to the Eyelash Curler is that it requires an AA battery, which does not come with the box and it took me a few days to buy the battery. So if you’re getting this, remember to grab a pack of AA battery along as well!;)

Screen Shot 2014-07-20 at 10.33.33 pm

Panasonic Nanocare Hair  Straightener EH-HS95K

As mentioned in the previous post and video above, this is the best and I personally love this product out of all the products sponsored/loaned by Panasonic for review. It’s obviously an effective hair styler, though termed Straightener, it can also double up as a curler (as seen in my previous post and post event video). It straightens and curls hair without drying the hair out or causing the hair to frizz because it’s imbued with nanocare technology which allows the moisture of the hair to be retained. So after styling my hair with this product, my hair is light and shines. Highly recommended hair styler product!

In case you’re wondering, I used 4 skincare products, 10 makeup products excluding 1 Panasonic Eyelash Curler EH-SE60, 1 Panasonic Nanocare Hair  Straightener EH-HS95K, 1 fragrance, 1 set of earrings and 2 bobby pins to complete the look. That’s a total of 15 skincare and makeup products, 2 beauty tools, 1 earrings and 2 bobby pins for one date look. :P

Remember to vote for my blog daily until 31st July here! :*

Thanks for reading! ;)

Elizabeth Arden’s Exquisite 5 Min Ceramide Self Foaming Mask & Untold Eau Legere

Hi Lovelies! <3

Today I’ll be introducing 2 products that I’ve been using and loving. 😉

So a while back (I know I’ve been using this to intro A LOT of my updates, lol, I’m really working towards saying “So a few days a go”…) I was invited to Elizabeth Arden’s Blogger Event for their new launch of  Ceramide Boosting 5 Minute Facial and Untold Eau Legere.

As usual, photos of the event followed by my personal review! 😉

We were each given a piece of paper to chronicle our own UNTOLD story…

Once again we have Elizabeth Arden trainer Angeline to introduce the new products and the story behind them to us… 🙂

Elizabeth Arden Blogger Event Mask Untold Fragrance2014-05-28 20.19.41_new

Elizabeth Arden adds the new Ceramide Boosting 5-Minute Facial to its range of Ceramide youth-restoring skincare products.

It’s a 2 step, bi weekly (u can use it 1-2 times a week) system that includes a luxurious Self-Foaming Mask and Replenishing Serum. The duo boasts to help to detoxify surface impurities and boost radiance for the ultimate flawless looking complexion.

Step 1: Self Foaming Mask 30ml

This ultra light mask glides easily onto the skin’s surface. After seconds, the unique formula works itself into a light foam, activating chemical and enzymatic exfoliators to gently cleanse as well as a purifying system to help detoxify surface impurities and promote skin cell turnover. Skin is left cleansed and primed for the second step.

To apply: Dispense a cotton ball sized amount of the Self Foaming Mask into hands. Apply a thin even layer to dry or damp uncleansed face and neck. Allow product to gradually foam into a luxurious Mask as it draws out surface impurities. During the mask’s activation, a tingling sensation is likely to occur, after the mask is fully activated (about 2 minutes), rinse well with luke warm water. Pat dry.

Key ingredients include:

– Lactic Acid and Protease Enzyme that gently exfoliates and dissolves surface skin clogging impurities
– Botanical Extracts – a blend of bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange, and lemon botanical extracts which contain naturally occuring apha hydroxy acids, that helps exfoliate skin.
– Targeted Peptide:  a purifying peptide that helps prime skin for optimum treatment
– Glycerin: a humectant (molecule that keeps moist) that replenishes skin with moisture.

Step 2: Replenishing Serum, 15ml

The serum’s silky formula delivers Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Triple Complex deep into skin’s surface. It helps reinforce skin’s protective barrier providing enhanced moisturizaion and a smoother texture as it soothes sensitive skin. The serum is further enriched with Retinyl Linoleate and Tropical Fruit Extract to help firm, strengthen and retexturize skin’s appearance. Soothing ingredients like Aloe Vera and Rice Kefiran leave skin calmed and soothed.

To apply: Immediately following step 1, apply Replenishing Serum to dry face and neck with fingertips and massage evenly in a circular motion, Let the product absorb to replenish and deeply hydrate the skin.

Check out the on-set demonstration!

~My reviews!~
Elizabeth Arden Blogger Event Mask Untold Fragrance2014-06-06 11.26.14_new

I found this Ceramide Boosting 5-Minute Facial to be remarkable, it’s my first self-foaming mask and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, like a girl experience magic popping sugar in her mouth, or bubbly champagne for the first time; but in a home facial manner, on her skin. 😛 The products work exactly as promised for me; smear the mask across the skin and the enzymes start to work their magic and activate with a tingly sensation, then the face is cleansed  within 2 minutes after which you will need to wash with warm water leaving the skin taut, that’s why it’s required to replenish the skin with the serum. The serum is silky without being too heavy, so it’s great! Retails at Eliz Arden counters island wide for $149. It is good for up to 8 facials per set.

UNTOLD Eau Legere, the last two words means light water. It’s definitely a story awaiting to be Told, and anything but light. I am usually not a fan of Sandalwood and White Musk, so with these ingredients forming the base of this fragrance I was quite apprehensive of embracing this fragrance. But I have come to appreciate this fragrance as I used it a handful of times for this review. I am impressed with how multi-faceted this scent is; it is amazing that a scent can be 5 tiered and layered in ways I never thought possible before. And you know what, it perfectly encapsulates what a modern lady is like; she’s Vibrant, Spontaneous, Feminine, Mysterious, Sensual all at once. Maybe you’re not, maybe you’d like to be this modern lady, nevertheless I encourage you to let this fragrance transform you into a modern woman to tackle on this world with a crisp white dress and high heels! 🙂

As always, thank you Eliz Arden ladies and men and fellow lovely bloggers for the warm hospitality and laughter at the event!

I am going to miss their next event this week due to a clash of appointments. :'( Nevertheless I look forward to sharing their future launches. 😉

SK-II Workshop & Trial Set First Impressions

Hi Lovelies~ 🙂

A while back I had the opportunity to attend SK-II’s workshop and purchase their products at a huge discount. 😀

2014-06-06 11.56.02

This is the generous goodie bag that was given to the workshop participants! I also really love the bracelets and charms. 🙂 There was also a $90 voucher, which I used to purchase a set of masks for my sister, since her wedding is coming up in August and I want her to look her best. 🙂

As you would probably have guessed by now, I have too many beauty products to try at the moment and I #onlyhave1face, so I haven’t got round to try SK-II products yet!

As I was busy trying out the products during the workshop and demonstration, I also didn’t manage to snap any pics. :/

I’m not sure about you, but I have conflicting feelings towards SK-II. On one hand, my first impressions of the brand is that it’s a prestige brand with amazing whitening effects but on the other hand, my emotional feelings towards it is really bad – I really hated seeing SK-II ads popping up during Youtube videos. And it’s practically everywhere online! Clozette, Luxola and basically most of the female sites when I’m on, of which I reckon by now that I am one of the targeted/intended advertising recipient. It’s one of those brands that I feel is suffering from “over exposure”, to the point that consumers like myself find it irritating.

That said however, I look forward to trying these products and to report back how I find it. 😉

Anyone has any experience with SK-II products that you wanna share?

Thanks for reading~! <3

Experience Black Paint @ Takashimaya

Hi Lovelies! <3

I AM BACK! 😀
After a minor scare from a blog suspension and fixing the naughty link that is disallowed by WordPress, I got this blog back. *Phew* I know some of you missed me and sent me FB messages to ask me what happened to my blog, thank you! :’) And I was particularly worried because I have a piece of great news that I was expecting to share with you all and I want to be in time to share it!

As you all may know by now, I previously reviewed Black Paint skincare regime on my blog and it was a truly unique and zen cleansing experience for me.

https://enabalista.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/black-paint-review-enabalista-3.jpg

Here’s an excerpt:
What I truly love about this soap is how natural and zen it makes me feel, during the cleansing process and after it.
As pictured, it is recommended for us to apply the black paint soap over the entire face. I find the application and cleansing process very therapeutic and artistic. I feel like I am a chinese calligraphy practitioner and I am spreading ink over my face, that is the canvas. The entire experience is oddly satisfying and I recommend everyone to try this unique product! And of course, other than the interesting and unique experience, I also like that soap bar cleanses my pores, but yet doesn’t leave it squeaky clean. I used to think that squeaky clean skin is good, but I’ve now learnt that it’s better to use gentle cleansers that will clean our skin but still leave it hydrated with necessary oils on our skin. 😉

Go read it here if you haven’t!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that

Currently Trending World Cup 2014 Fashion & Beauty

What’s awesome about World Cup isn’t just about the hot guys, skilled players & nice jerseys & kicks.

It’s also the patriotism & the camaraderie that the games bring out in people.
It’s being able to get together and root for the same team/people/person *ahem Germany & Klose winning his record breaking 16th World Cup goal, woohoo!*.

It’s being able to put aside our various differences and arguments aside for a while and be one the same side for a while. Or even to agree to disagree and be on different sides, sometimes it’s also fun that way, isn’t it?

Whether you happen to be rooting for the same team with your friends or not, there are some World Cup inspired Fashion and Beauty products that you all can still appreciate together! 😉

Hi Lovelies!!!

Today I’m announcing a piece of super exciting news!

Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 10.53.58 pm

My blog is selected to be one of the

I’m so happy! Thank you God and all my dear family, friends, reader & sponsors who have supported me thus far~ (Haven’t win anything but give thank you speech already, muahaha). 😛

But really, I must have mentioned many times that I started out blogging fashion events and daily musings about life and didn’t expect this blog to become a lifestyle blog with a niche in beauty reviews et al, and for it to be where it is right now. Of course I could accrue some of the exposure of my blog due to my credit of actually posting stuff up (hurhur), but mostly it is serendipity and I’ve been super blessed and happy to have met a lot of wonderful people and get the many exclusive opportunities to attend events, review products and share with people! How not to be thankful right? 😀

So for this Singapore Blog Awards, I will need your help!!! Yes you!

Voting period has started 7 July and till 31 July,
everyone can vote once a day

(including me, muahaha!)

So pls be super lovely (since I always call you all my lovelies hehehe) and vote for me here, daily!
Must be daily! I am super demanding of your love and vote and support like that! 😀

Pls also be extra lovely and generous and share the link with ALL your family, lover/s (I don’t judge, keke) and friends on Facebook~~~

Let’s all make your favourite blogger (Yes, its me, I know, let’s not hide that fact any longer. :P) and my blog the winning Beauty Blog for Singapore Beauty Blog 2014! Of course I will put in effort and work my magic *throws magic dust in the air, waves my wand* to create winning beauty tutorials, with the wonderful Panasonic beauty tools that I have been loaned and sponsored, for your inspiration and edu-tainment (educational entertainment), which my blog is all about if you haven’t already realized by now, lol! Look out for my posts coming weekly this July!

Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 11.07.11 pmThe link will lead you to this pretty photo *coughs, not shy at all* and hit that <3 button till it’s orange, DAILY, I repeat, DAILY. 😛

Ok, on a serious note, the voting stands 30% and Judging Criteria such as Content, Style stands for the other 70%! So technically most of the winning is still gonna be down to if I can actually blog cool stuff. *ahem, flips hair*
BUT we’re not taking any chances here, are we?

And why should we win?

We should totally win because Enabalista isn’t just about Ena. It’s about an awesome community of my family, friends and readers who simply enjoy reading about fashion, beauty and other interesting lifestyle topics of note!

Replenish & Rejuvenate with Herbalife SKIN in 7 Days, Event & Products Review

Hi Lovelies!

How was your weekend? My weekend felt quite long cause it started early with my friends on Friday night followed by two eventful days on Sat and Sun. 😀

Today I’m sharing with you all photos from the Herbalife Skin launch and event from a while back plus my review of the products I’ve used!

When I received the event invite I was quite hesitant to go down because the event was right smack during Audi Fashion Festival week and I had events to attend to before and after. Additionally Herbalife is a nutrition company famous for their meal replacement formulas and their SKIN line is unheard of in Asia. On hindsight, I am very glad that I made the decision to attend because after personally meeting and hearing from Robert, the co-developer of the products, I have concluded that Herbalife SKIN is really a new force to be reckoned with in the skincare/beauty market. More about the people and products shortly!

As usual, photos of the event followed by my review of the skincare products. 😀

2014-05-16 15.22.26

Herbalife SKIN, designed to Replenish & Rejuvenate in just 7 days!

The stars of the afternoon; beautifully designed and chic Herbalife SKIN products and their packaging. Plus, this is quite possibly the best product shot that I have ever taken in my entire blogging career. The sun rays just streaming down so beautifully! *swoons*
Who says that a skincare product cannot look as good as the ingredients are beneficial for the skin, right?

2014-05-16 15.27.35

Daliea, the VP of Corp. Comm of Asia Pac. of Herbalife, giving an introduction to the company in Asia region.

2014-05-16 15.28.18

Another representative from Herbalife also sharing about Herbalife’s company and how well it’s doing in US and Asia.

In summary, Herbalife was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles (USA) with the goal to help people achieve a healthy, active life. Their products are sold through a network of independent Herbalife Members, a type of sales channel also known as direct selling. Now operating in 90+ countries with 7400+ employees globally and millions of customers. Herbalife brought in US$4.8 billion in net sales in 2013 and US$1.7 billion in net sales in Asia Pacific region alone and of course, these numbers are expected to be growing.

Herbalife as I mentioned earlier is famous for their Formula 1 Meal Replacement Shakes which is No.1 in the meal replacement category, according to Euromonitor Int. Ltd. 2014. They also have products catering to “Energy, Sports and Fitness”, “Personal Care Outer Nutrition” and “Targeted Nutrition”.

After the introductions, we have a pair of beauty experts sharing with us about the new Herbalife SKIN range; Robert Helmes, Herbalife consultant and co-developer of Herbalife SKIN and Laura Chacon-Garbato, director of Outer Nutrition Product Training of Herbal Life North America.

2014-05-16 15.42.35

Laura here with the model getting ready for the product demonstration.2014-05-16 15.42.40

Robert here sharing with us about the line.

The promise of Herbalife SKIN is to
have beautiful, healthier, younger looking skin through
Formula, Feel & Fast Results.

Formula
is its unique and optimum blend of: Vitamin B, antioxidant Vitamin C and E, Aloe Vera (which Robert likes to simply call Aloe) and other botanical (i.e. natural) ingredients. It is also paraben free, sulfate free and dermatologist tested.

Feel
is to be pampered with lush textures, and be soothed with silky soft lathers, inspired by the scents, smell fresh and be rejuvenated.

Fast Results
is enjoying maximum daily results including softer smoother and more radiant skin with long term benefits of a diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

2014-05-16 16.24.02

A photo with Laura & Robert.

I have attended many training workshops for personal growth, real estate and also beauty, so I know a good speaker when I see one. It’s remarkable, simply to be able to attend a workshop with a good trainer, or in this case 2 good trainers who are experienced, professional and most importantly knowledgeable about their products and range. It is truly a pleasure to have been able to hear from them personally and attend their presentation. 🙂

As I spoke to them after and commended them on their engaging presentation, it was no wonder when they shared that the day after and essentially for the entire duration they are in Singapore they’re giving training workshops to media (like me), press and their own Herbalife members at the Herbalife Convention; where members from Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia come down. They aren’t just small time event trainers but big time event trainers!

I am undoubtedly impressed, it didn’t quite occur to me that a direct selling company such as Herbalife can be so well organized and running impressively like any other corporations would! I guess having had brief experiences with other direct selling companies gave me the mis-conception that direct selling companies generally overpromise and deliver therefore giving the impression that it is inferior (in terms of company structure, products and training) compared to the bigger boys such as the departmental brands or high end brands… Perhaps I have happened to have a better experience and impression of Herbalife SKIN people and products, but I would definitely recommend you to go ahead and give Herbalife SKIN service & products a try! If you already have a current or prior experience, whether good or bad, feel free to share your experience in the comments below to let me know and also to share with other readers~ 🙂

The event was held at Group Therapy Cafe, site here, FB here and their food and coffee is delightful! Definitely definitely love to go back again for a date or group session~~~

Quaint decor~2014-05-16 16.47.18

Drink Coffee; do stupid things faster with more energy. HAHAA.

Finally time for product reviews!!!

Sharing my feelings~
I was very excited to use and review their products especially after attending the workshop and I think like watching a movie after reading a good review, even if the movie is indeed awesome, the awesome factor doesn’t weigh up accurately in our minds, because we have already set the bar higher at the awesome level. So it was the same for my pre-use experience and after use experience. I had tried the Clay and Berry Scrub during the workshop and I was completely sold on the premise of the entire range during the presentation. Did the products and range deliver the promise after I used them? Yes. But was I impressed? Not so much, simply because it worked like they said it would! Ok, we humans (or maybe just me? :P) are a bunch of people that’s hard to please, I know! So in essence, I’m trying to tell you is, the premise of the Herbalife SKIN range, it’s wonderful. Try it, use it with an open mind, with no expectations, then, decide for yourself if you’re duly impressed, or not. 😉

Well as Herbalife SKIN is currently still fairly new to the Asia Pac market (launched in Oct 2013 in US, launched in June 2014 in Asia Pac) therefore it’s still lesser known, but once other bloggers or the wisdom of the female forums start to leave their recommendations and rave about the products (or my recommendations below, keke) Then you will know what are the really awesome (to be differentiated from the simply awesome) products.

Omg, I don’t know why I am sooooo chirpy and extra talkative in my review here. I’m not usually this verbose. But verbose is good, right? Moving on…

2014-06-06 12.10.33

Herbalife SKIN was generous in sponsoring the entire set of 10 products for use and review. Lovely packaging, once again! Comes with a sparkly make up pounch and Swarovski pen. I will explain the two bags shortly.

2014-06-06 12.15.29

The Herbalife SKIN offers three skin care programs – Basic, Advanced or Ultimate – which combine products from the range to address specific skin care concerns and deliver tailored results to consumers.
1) Basic Program includes Soothing Aloe Cleanser or Polishing Citrus Cleanser, Energizing Herbal Toner, Daily Glow Moisturizer and Replenishing Night Cream

2) Advanced Program includes Basic program with the addition of Line Minimizing Serum, Firming Eye Gel and Hydrating Eye Cream

3) Ultimate Program includes the Advanced Program with the addition of Purifying Mint Clay Mask and Instant Reveal Berry Scrub

Of course by now I’m sure you noticed the obvious numbers on the packaging that helps remind you which product goes on first. Plus if you open the paper wrapped around the casing, it shows you the entire steps too~ Yes, I am a beauty blogger but sometimes even I am not sure which product goes one first (cream, or serum, omg #firstworldproblems. In case you’re wondering, my answer is, it depends. Usually lightweight serum goes first, but where in a case of the cream is more lightweight then, cream before the heavier serum. #QED (stands for Quite Easily Solved, a math geek tutor taught us this in Secondary school, lol.))

Oh yes, btw, Guys can use this system too!

That’s why all the numbers cause it can be confusing, hahaha.

Another SUPER plus point of this entire range is it’s airless pump nozzles. You never have to dig your fingers in to get the products! Major love!!

I will review the products individually before I go into my recommendation of sets and use if you decide to get the full range of 10 products.

First off, I had high expectations for this Polishing Citrus Cleanser. I loveee beads in my cleansers that do its little scrubbing magic that makes my skin feel refreshed after a long day outside exposed to dust and all. However I did not fancy these little green beads which are a tad too big and stiff. In the light of things, these beads are seriously tiny, however they still feel fairly bulky (weird to refer these tiny things as bulky) compared to the other beaded cleanser counterparts, which I have used from both drugstores to departmental brands; Johnson & Johnson and Biotherm respectively. The plus of this cleanser is that is cleanses without leaving the skin overly taut/dry plus its awesome refreshing citrus-y scent which is always a welcome for an invigorating morning wash~ This facial wash is recommended for people with normal to oily skin types. I would recommend guys to use this! Especially if you prefer and are looking for beaded cleaners with bigger beads for a better feel during their facial cleansing step.

Digressing a little here to talk about some Enabalista Trivia: According to my FB page insights, the number of recorded Male and Female FB followers are almost equal (Guys 51%), if that is accurate of my blog readers, then I actually have an almost equal male to female readership. Well of course I can’t use and recommend guy’s products to the guys, but I do have guy readers emailing me asking me about facials, one even complaining about my review, lol. If you’re a guy reader, would you like me to recommend skincare for you as well? Let me know! If so I can be more active in attending / researching Men’s Beauty and updating here as well. 😀

2. Herbalife SKIN Soothing Aloe Cleanser Review (Step 1)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E, Aloe Vera, Coconut derived cleansing ingredients.

This cleanser is soothing and as pictured about it has a gel like consistency~ Recommended for Normal to Dry skin types as it is very hydrating and Aloe is known for its soothing and restorative abilities so definitely recommended for sensitive skin types as well.

3. Herbalife SKIN Energizing Herbal Toner Review (Step 2)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E, Aloe Vera, Potassium Alum.
This toner has a sweet mandarin citrus scent that preps the skin to better receive the serum and moisturizer for maximum effects.

I enjoyed using this toner immensely because of the scent which lingers on long after (in my nose and mind) and I look forward to using it. I think this is such a great benefit of the product; I am big with products with nice, sweet scents which are fresh and not cloying. It definitely hydrates the skin and preps it before the moisturizer and serum. I think it would be more appropriate to term this toner a fruity toner, or a citrus toner because I am not sure how the sweet mandarin citrus is herbal, is any way. Mandarin Citrus may be Oriental, but not herbal. Haha.

4. Herbalife SKIN Line Minimizing Serum (Step 3)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Chestnut Seed Extract, Peptide.
Multi functional serum helps diminish the visible signs of aging.

I only use this on my forehead and laugh lines, to prevent lines, lol. The serum is a whitish gel like cream and applies smooth and clears clean. At $100.19 a bottle, it’s the priciest product of the entire range. While it does not have an instant effect and neither can I boast that it has worked on my relatively young (23 year old) skin, what I enjoy and take away from my experience is the texture and feel of this serum is velvety without being oily or greasy AND it did not break me out on my normal to oily skin. *thumbs up*

This product is definitely targeted at an older crowd who is concerned about minimizing lines, able and glad to shell out the dollars. Robert (the Herbalife consultant and co-developer of the range) swears by it and uses it very generously on his face and at his 40s his face still looks like his 30s. Of course he would, and we will have to take his word for it, don’t we? 😛

5. Herbalife SKIN Hydrating Eye Cream (Step 4)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Macadamia Nut Oil, Cucumber extract, Peptide.

This is my 2nd favourite product from the range. I super love the cucumber scent of this product. It’s refreshing and lightweight eye cream which I would love to apply all over my face except that it would probably be a waste to, so I keep it just around my eyes as recommended, it’s not called an Eye Cream for fun, haha.

6. Herbalife SKIN Firming Eye Gel (Step 4)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Macadamia Nut Oil, Cucumber extract.

This Eye Gel isn’t as lightweight as the Hydrating Cream and I personally prefer the Hydrating Eye Cream. As such you can pick which is a bigger concern for you, if you want to increase the firmness of your eye area then you might want to opt for this instead.

7. Herbalife SKIN Daily Glow Moisturizer (Step 5)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Sunflower seed oil, Spilanthes Acmella Flower extract, Macadamia nut oil, Olive oil, Sesame seed oil.

This is my favourite product from the entire range~ ! I super love how my skin has that glow after using, the product is shimmery beige after dispensed from the bottle and I apply it on my skin as the step 5, before sunblock and that’s all I need for a foundation free day or I I want more coverage, with a BB cream after and I feel that my skin has that beautiful glow~ Some people like to look for bronzer to give them a healthy glow, I think this is moisturizer equivalent to a bronzer, or for those who are familiar, it’s like a tinted moisturizer.

8. Herbalife SKIN Replenishing Night Cream (Step 5)

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Sunflower seed oil, Macadamia nut oil, Olive oil, Sesame seed oil, Spilanthes Acmella Flower extract.

I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a night cream that’s hydrating without being oily. I use it especially for nights I have air con turned on to keep my skin hydrated. It’s one of the luxurious night cream that I can safely use without breaking my skin out, woohoo~

9. Herbalife SKIN Instant Reveal Berry Scrub

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Coconut derived cleansing ingredients,  Exfoliating beads and blueberry seeds.

You can’t see the exfoliating beads which is colourless in the photo above and I love the blueberry seeds which adds to the natural feel and scent of the product. I personally like scrubs with natural fruit seeds for a more raw experience, like I am in touch with nature. Plus, I am a huge fan of Berries (excuse me, who isn’t?) So this is a no brainer, it’s a scrub I recommend~

10. Herbalife SKIN Purifying Mint Clay Mask

Ingredients: Vit B, C, E and Aloe Vera, Bentomite Clay, Rosemary leaf oil and Spearmint Oil.
This rich clay mask has the absorb and toning effects of bentomite clay to remove dirt and excess oil.

I think the photo demonstration above speak for itself!! For the uninitiated, Clay Masks in addition to being super good for removing dirt and excess oil, they are also known to leave the skin soft and hydrated According to Robert and Laura, the Berry Scrub and Clay Mask are popular favourites in US and my personal experience is in agreement with the US sentiments as well, keke. Also, at S$37.75 it is about 30% cheaper than the Helenere one which I have reviewed before! Do I think this is a alternative to the Helenere one? You bet!

All the products are sold singly, and after using the products, here’s my personal recommendation of 2 set formations:
