Lol, I know my hair colour is completely different by now, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise if you’re my frequent blog reader cause I take forever and a day to update my blog. But, ahem, just a few months ago, when my hair colour was in a very vibrant blondish brown with ash grey highlights, I had my hair roots touched up and here are the pictures! Looking back at these photos made me realize that I really do like this hair colour on me, must be my inner LA girl unleashed! Also, I’ve come to really like my Chez Vous salon trip updates on my blog, because they give me a legit reason to spam selfies, HAHAHA. 😛 Thanks Jamie for the original hair dye and Shawn (pictured below) for the touch up! And as always, thanks Eugene and Chez Vous bosses for always giving me a slot like every month/other month for my hair adventures/transformation, kekeke. I like how silly/cool I look with this hair machine/helmet looking thing. 😛 Thank you Shawn! You know what they say, toilet selfies are the best, no?
Visit Chez Vous Salon at 391 Orchard Road, Ngee Ann City #05-05, Call 6732 9388 to book your appointment, lest they’re fully booked if you walk in.
A while back I was invited for a Grand Plastic Surgery Korea blogger event to hear and learn more about Grand Plastic Surgery Korea and the services/treatments they have to offer. They tout themselves to be Korea’s biggest plastic surgery center with 4300m2 across their 21 stories building. Their Sinsa Main Center is fully equipped with state of the art medical facility and they offer one stop service from consultation, treatment, surgery, recovery and post care.
Naturally they provide a comprehensive list of surgery treatments including Eyes, Nose, Fat Grafting (voluminous baby face is apparently popular in Korea now, which for the life of me, I can’t understand why, especially since people with baby face are actively trying to get rid of the excess fats), Anti-aging (Face lift), Breast and Body Contouring and Jaws/Facial Contouring.
We also heard from Jacqueline aka GollyLocks, who gone through double eyelids and jaw reduction/facial contouring done at Plastic Surgery Korea. She said it was a painless experience, which obviously came as a shock to the other bloggers in attendance. She’s very satisfied with the results and recommends their services.
Along with 2 other bloggers, I had the chance to meet one of the Grand Plastic Surgery doctor for a quick consultation at the event. I enquired about double eyelid surgery (would/might want to go for one in the future) and he was quite confident that I can get my even double eyelids for my eyes, as I currently have uneven double/single eyelids. I enquired about the failure percentage at Grand Plastic, to which he said is less than 5% as each doctor specialises in a certain area so they are very skilled and they also offer free rectification surgery.
The staff followed up with an email on the recommended surgery after the consultation, their rates and recommended length of stay after the session:
[Eyelid Surgery]
1. Natural Adhesion Method 1,500,000 ~ 1,700,000 Korean won (>$1500SGD)
2. Ptosis Correction 700,000 ~ 900,000 Korean won (>$800SGD)
The minimum recommended stay is 3~ 4 days in Korea to have post surgery treatment and outside stitches removed. If you could stay up to 6 ~ 7 days it may be even better to check on your recovery.
S$2300 for an eyelid surgery is definitely cheaper than in Singapore, which costs about S$3000 or more and by doctors who are likely not as skilled then those in Korea who likely perform on hundreds a week, if not days. But if you include airfare and hotel stay in Korea then it’s definitely more expensive, haha.
I can’t attest nor recommend their services since I’ve not tried them before, nonetheless I do think they’re worth considering if you’re preparing to head to Korea to have an eye/nose/jaw/boob/facelift job done! Check out their english website here and email them here if you’re keen to enquire about the fees, consultation and surgery details, etc.
What I would recommend is that you look for a Korean friend to help you make the booking in Korean if possible, as I’ve heard from friend/friend of friends who’ve been to Korea for beauty services/treatments/surgery that it’s cheaper when a Korean makes the booking in Korean. Plus, Koreans themselves would most likely know which clinic is credible and recommend the really good clinics, right?
Plus, my review of Grand Plastic’s Prestige Cell (Anti Wrinkle) Mask is at the end of the post. Snapping selfies before the event which was held at a restaurant/Joie By Dozo at Orchard Central, which is one of my favourite malls in town, the other being 313 Somerset, because they have SO MANY YUMMY RESTAURANTS. I digress.Jacqueline shares her own experience with Grand Plastic Korea, yes she travelled to Korea for the surgeries. You can read about her experience on her blog here!
During the consultation with the doctor, blogger friend before me was asking about liposuction.
Waiting for my consultation, which was held on stage and by my turn I don’t think the other bloggers were keen/following with the consultation questions, lol. Wefie with Melissa and Jacqueline!<3 Lighting was really good. So I snapped a few more, keke.Headed for a surprise birthday celebration for a colleague at Studio M Hotel after the event, snapped more selfies while I was on the way! 😀
I’m not a huge mask person because I’m generally a really lazy hassle free person that don’t seem to find that 15-20 min time period for a seat in facial mask, ha. And I also tend to be put off by really fancy masks like snail essence #IJustCant. So it’s kind of thankfully that I didn’t read the ingredients into the mask before I used it because this Prestige Cell (Anti Wrinkle) Mask contains 5% cord blood derived stem cells. with 30 different skin regeneration factors to reduce wrinkles and give you youthful/supple looking skin. I probably shouldn’t be grossed out because the ingredient is an extract/derivative from laboratory and not actual blood per se. And I will still use the 2 other masks I have (3 in the pack I was given) because it does feel really good. The mask sheet is premium fibre sheet that promises to hold more of the cord blood derived stem cells and hold on to the face better, and when I first touched it I could tell it’s better quality then the usual/normal ones and they did cover my face snugly until it began to dry out with time before it came off. The mask is free from fragrance, artificial ingredients, ethanol, paraben, mineral oil, so I reckon this is good for sensitive skin types too! Use this face mask after washing and toner. Remove after 15-20minutes and dab remaining essence into the skin for absorption. I recommend using this mask in the evening so you can wake up to refreshed skin. Only found 1 online site selling these Prestige Cell Masks (no guarantee if the site is credible or not though) and it’s selling at 65HKD/$12SGD which is surprisingly cheap cause I was expecting the mask to be like SKII pricing, which is $122 for 6 or $20/mask. I haven’t actually tried SK-II mask before, but if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, perhaps you can try this! 🙂
Thank you Grand Plastic Surgery Korea and Incite Comms for the blogger event invite and masks for review!
A while back, I had a blast at Watson’s Girl’s Day Out at NEX along with my fellow bloggers and beauty enthusiasts Joanna and Charissa. There were more than 10 health/beauty booths promoting their latest health or beauty related products on site. It was like we were attending a mini health and beauty expo and it was fascinating to have so brand/product presentations within 2 hours! The atrium event lasted a week, be sure to follow Watsons on their FB and IG for their future events and promotions updates. 🙂

I got my very first eyebrow embroidery done at Browtisan earlier this year and I love it! A pair of well designed eyebrows has helped to define and enhance my overall facial look and I’ve been so happy and grateful for it. I’m also completely at ease whenever I visit Browtisan because I trust their skills and expertise. So a while back I went for my second touch up session and here’s how it went!

Plus, the touch up has covered my scar area perfectly! <3And here’s how they look like after a while!

It feels like a while since I last published a post (just check it was 1 week ago)… Time is whizzing by incredibly fast isn’t it? >u<
One of the things I accomplished over my fruitful weekend was to pay a visit to IKEA to pick up items for a mini Bedroom Makeover under $300!
I’ve long wanted to get a laptop cushion, for when I use my laptop while on the sofa or on the bed, and I finally found Byllan ($29.90). I got it with the white cover and a multicoloured cushion cover, so pretty! It’s also available in grey, for all you monochrome lovers. There is also a matching swivel chair which I think would be super lovely as guest chairs in a creative office space (note to self; bookmark for future office, hehe). I also got a lovely new quilt and pillow casing in Angsskara ($14.90) and a Tejn faux sheepskin rug ($19.90) which I think makes my room look super snug and comfy~
I’ve accumulated quite an amount of shoes and products from my own vanity creativity and from blogging. Thus it has resulted in the need to put in 2 shelves in the last year, when my room’s wall was originally clear/ empty. HAHA. And I also just acquired Breim Wardrobe ($39.90), with all the miscellaneous items that were piling up in my room. It’s super affordable and relatively easy to put together (my sister helped to put them together, thanks Er Jie!!!).
I decided to get Ditte fabric ($4.90) and cover the shelves by attaching it with Velcro to the top of the shelves and also hem it down with SY Iron on hemming strip ($2.90) at the bottom. I’m thinking of going back to buy a few more fabrics from the wonderful array available so I can switch them from time to time! 🙂
I thank God for SKUBB shoe box ($14,90, Set of 4), they’re seriously god-sent! Bless those clever designers. These replace the odd shape and coloured shoe boxes that my shoes come in, so they look so much better now when stacked together. Plus, the design allows me to see through into the mesh and easily take out the shoes! I’m super stoked and happy with them! 😀 They also come in Pink and White colours~ They’re only 16cm high, so they can’t fit shoes taller than that, but as they’re pretty long (34cm), as long as the shoes aren’t too wide, you can still fit them in, lying down. I got a total of 5 sets. Yes, I have more than 20 pairs of shoes. That’s why I need to store most of them in my own room cause my family’s shoe cabinets ain’t got enough space for me. Hahaha. 😛
To get more bed & bathroom makeover inspiration, check out IKEA’s online bedroom gallery here and bathroom gallery here as well as this hilarious video on “How to Improve your Private Life”:
There’s also a cool microsite as part of this “Private Life” campaign with product info integrated into the slideshows, check it out here!
IKEA’s also releasing 4 cute & pretty series/collections, visit them to see the new products!
Thank you IKEA Singapore and BBH for the products and updates!
First of all, I am so super happy that we’re in 2015 right now. 2014 hasn’t been the worst but neither has it been the best and I am just so grateful to enter into the new year and I believe with all my heart that 2015 is going to be a so much better year for me – at work, in life and blogging too! Taking the time to wish all of you a wonderful 2015 – may the new year bring you greater joy & successes in all that you do!!!
Now onto the blog post proper, back in late November, Risis threw a party in style – if there’s any store party that I’ve attended and loved in 2014, it’d be Risis’ – humourous styling workshop with celebrity stylist Keith Png, beautiful jewelery, good food, makeup and nails booth – a girl’s heaven! Truth be told, I wasn’t in my best of form as I was feeling under the weather and having a bad hair day, lol. Nonetheless that didn’t keep me from enjoying the event with my friend and sweetie pie Christabelle!
Scroll down to check out my photos & captions from the event. 😉
Risis designer sharing about the collections presented and how the Christmas Special Luna collection is inspired by Orchids.
Keith demonstrating how to layer up jewellery on the hands. He also shared how to spot whether you’re warm or cool skin tone – greenish veins means warm while blueish veins means cool. My veins are greenish so I have warm skin tone. Warm skin tones suit gold coloured jewellery while cool skin tones suit silver coloured jewellery. That said, I usually have no problem wearing either – in the sense that I think I look okay with both gold and silver – and I prefer silver for day to day jewellery and wear gold for special occasions.
Keith proceeds to show us how to match jewellery for different looks and occasions, beginning with more casual and office looks.
Left to Right: Necklace from Moonlight Dance and Floral Ring collections respectively, silver is subtle and appropriate for chic and office looks.
Luna Necklaces from Luna collection in gold, for a more dressy cocktail occasion.
Layer up necklaces and rings for a more glamorous evening look.
Luna Slider Necklace extended with another chain for a versatile accessory that can even double up as a belt – such creative ideas from Keith!
Here’s Christabelle and I paying full and focused attention to Keith! That’s me with my serious face. 😛
And another one of us, with Crystal and Smita on the sofa next to Christabelle, so happy and inspired after the workshop. 🙂
Special SG50 collection in the background, Kirana collection on the bottom left and Embrace collection on the bottom right.
Orchard Parade collection.
Christmas Special Luna Collection.
More detailed look of Moonlight Dance collection – 2 necklaces can be layered at different length for an elegant look.
The Endless Spring collection with a special Swarovski crystal birthstone for each pendent – these makes great birthday gifts for gold lovers!
Christabelle looking lovely in the Moonlight Dance collection – we both really like this collection.
We also had fun testing out Catrice makeup and nail booths!
Risis started out with gold plated sculptures, that’s just a portion of what they have available in store! These make great gifts for offices & homes, think new offices and house warming gifts.
Thank you Risis for having us!
Door gifts from the event.Pretty gold orchid pendant necklace.
Prices of Risis jewellery featured in this post range from $50 to $230.
Just last Thursday I was at Etude House’s World’s Largest Flagship Store VIP Opening @ Wisma Atria. Man, I don’t even know where to start! The experience was incredible to say the least. The folks at Etude House sure do know how to throw a big princess party! 😀 I don’t think anything I say is gonna do justice to it, so that’s why you’re gonna be treated to a feast of pretty pictures. 🙂 As Etude House’s world’s largest store, they have a dedicated booth/wall/stand for every part of your face and body. No kidding. You’ll see! And of course, one can’t escape from commenting how PRINCESSY the entire decor is. Decked in pretty pink and regal white, this store is every little / inner-little-girl’s dream. 😉 Plus, this store is SO FUN. To amp up the princess themed decor, there is a Pumpkin Carriage that you can enter with your GF/BFF to take photos with. Sorry, the cute male models were specially flown in only for the opening day. 😛 Also, there are capsule machines that will churn out 1 charm that you can add to your unique Etude House bracelet. For the month of October, you get to collect 1 pink token for every $20 spent, up till 5 tokens/$100 per receipt. Thereafter, you’ll have to spend $30 to redeem 1 pink token. And there are also special discounts and gift sets (while stocks lasts) for sale to celebrate their opening, so be sure to head down before the month is up! 🙂

Super Love this! Sticker Wall of Tips & a cute pink cover /book that you can collect the tips with! <3 Totally reminds me of my primary school sticker collecting days, heh. I still love stickers! #NeverGonnaGrowUp
New Hand Cream Range in Castle shaped containers. Love both the Fruity Floral and Rose Floral scents!
Just 1/3 of the 50 available Play101 Pencils pictured in store. It’s the only shop in Singapore where you can find the entire range of Play101 Pencils. These pencils are very special because you can use them as lipsticks/pencils, eyeshadows and blushers! Super crazy, I know!
Korean celebrity make up artist & youtuber Pony who collaborated with Etude House for the Play101 pencil collection. Super pretty!
The amazing looks that you can create with the 101 pencils. <3 I love the ones with the softer, romantic looks, as well as the ones with the dark lips!
Some more of the swatches of the Play101 pencils and how well they hold up after a while and from smudging. Pretty well I must say! The dark red tend to smudge a little more because it’s more moist which is probably best suited for lips sticks. However the coral orange/orange and pink in shimmer holds up remarkably well!
Special media tokens and bracelet so we can collect the charms. <3
Pink Play Capsule Machine! Omg love it!!!
I was incredibly lucky to get the Eiffel Tower! Yay!!! 😀
Etude House’s Limited Edition Pumpkin Carriage Cushion Case Exclusive Only @ Wisma! <3

It’s not everyday that I can be on a Pumpkin Carriage & with 6 handsome models flanking my sides, hehe!
And Pony appears for the make up demonstration! I was staring at her pretty face and baby soft skin the entire time. O-O
This is the Blooming Lips Range Coral Red lip colour that Pony recommended during the demo, OR209. Thanks Roanna for holding up the lipstick! <3
As posted on my IG, I scored a selfie with Pony after the cosy blogger interview session we had. You must be curious about the Q&A, here it is!
Interview with Celebrity Top Korean Make Up Artist Pony
Q1. What do you think is the 1 thing you have done right to become so popular? PONY (P): In addition to trendy makeup in Korea, I also try other looks from the Western make up scene, such as my recent Scarlett Johansson cover makeup. I think that is why I am popular globally.
Pony’s Scarlet Johansson Makeup Cover.
Q2. What’s your current favourite beauty trend? P: Dewy moist makeup as it’s very dry in korea now.
Q3. What is your top favourite skincare product from Etude House and top favourite make up product from Etude House? P: Skincare: Moistful collagen gel and mist
Makeup: Play101 as it comes in a variety of 50 colours to play with.
Q4. What is your secret to good skin? P: 1. Don’t stress.
2. Before I do a scrub, I use a mask pack for hydration. And I also don’t do too much scrub.
3. I use fine foam when cleansing, so the bubble is soft on the skin and not pulling down the skin.
Q5. What is a big make up mistake? P: Make up that is not balanced. I feel that the face is in a 100% ratio spread across the Eyes, Nose & cheek & Lips.
So for example, when the eyes has 50% of the attention, then spread the attention evenly 25% and 25% on the Nose/Cheeks and Lips. Don’t over do and have strong makeup all over your face, it will be too overpowering.
Q6. How do you recommend a fuss free make up routine for busy Singaporeans? P: I think the Precious Minerial Any Cushion is great, as the foundation comes out evenly and applies really fast without having not too much on the face. This product cuts the steps of a normal foundation of application from squeezing and transferring to hand then face, so it is convenient. Then apply dark eyeliner and go for a bright lip colour.
Q7: If you could only choose 1 Etude House product to use forever, what would it be?
Etude House’s Cookie blusher. I recommend the warmer colours as it suits natural skin better.
Q8: Can we expect a video on your Singapore trip to be uploaded to your Youtube channel?
P: Yes I will have a cute -style video of my trip in Singapore to be on my channel! 🙂
Q9: Will there be any future project with Etude House?
P: I am a big fan of étude house. I hope that there will be more unique products such as the Play101 pencils to come unless Etude House doesn’t want to collaborate with me. *Sad Pouts*
Q10: How do you make makeup last longer in humid weather such as in Singapore? P: Don’t apply too much make up, the eechnique is to make skin lighter by applying thin layer. Also I recommend using a sebum control powder to help control the oil and also using the Wonder Pore Freshener before make up.
Watch Pony’s Beauty Diary Youtube Videos via InsiteTV here. 🙂
Media gifts, door gifts, gifts with purchase! I got the Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion in Peach for normal-dark skin & Magic Cushion in Honey Beige for foundation, so I can also have dewy korean skin! Yeah!
The entire Limited Edition Disney Collection & Vanity Case! <3 <3 <3
I’m thinking of doing a video review and tutorial, what do you all think? In anycase, I’ll be doing a separate post of the Disney collection cause this post is already super long as it is. And there’s a lot of products for review in one collection too! 🙂
Are you an Etude House fan like me? What’s your favourite product and why?
Thanks Etude House Singapore & WOM PR for the invite and making the interview possible!

Unfortunately she thinks the same way too.

10. You just want to focus on your studies / career because having one woman ie Mom nagging at you is more than enough.
Just before Chinese New Year, at the invitation of Wendy,
my girlfriends and I visited Mary Kay’s office in Tanjong Pagar for a make up workshop!
Here’s some photos, my favourite products and review from the session! 😉
With YL pre workshop session!
My skin was honestly in bad condition that day, after a breakout.
Before the makeup demonstration and workshop, we indulged in a little skin care pampering session.
Here, YL, Belle and I had half our face slathered with Mary Kay’s Botanical Mask.
So we could tell the effect comparing to our non-masked half!
Don’t we look like we have dramatic masks on? 😀
Mary Kay TimeWise Replenishing Serum and Botanical Mask
These are my favourite Mary Kay products from the workshop. 🙂
The serum preps the skin before the mask and after the mask application, the skin is fresher and clearer.
After prepping the skin and cleaning off the mask, it’s time for makeup demonstration!
Post make up workshop photos!:D
With lovely Belle
With my fav neighbour and bestie YL
And with Juliana and Wendy, Mary Kay trainers and consultants.
Thanks Wendy for inviting us! 🙂
Close up and unfiltered photos, post make up!
With Mary Kay concealer, primer, foundation, loose powder, eyebrow pencil, blusher and
eyeshadow in pink, orange and gold to suit the auspicious chinese new year occasion!
Mary Kay lipstick colours are also very lovely and pigmented.
On my lips are a mix of TrueDimension lipstick in Color Me Coral and Wild About Pink.
I really really like this look on my girlfriends and I!
My girlfriends and I enjoyed the session and we agreed that the session was made more enjoyable because we
had each other’s company while we pampered ourselves with skincare and picked up make up techniques.
I actually think this is an excellent idea for a girls’ gathering! Plus, Juliana is a great make up coach and
she made us feel very relaxed and at ease with her bright smile and cheerful personality. 🙂
Mary Kay is a unique skincare and beauty brand in the sense that it doesn’t have a brick and mortar shop,
instead their products are sold by women, started by Mary Kay Ash in America and is now in Asia. Mary Kay Beauty Consultants start by going through the workshop and training themselves
before they are certified trainers and enlist other women into their own teams
that sell and train other women in skincare and make up.
Pretty much like real estate or insurance agents but in the world and field of beauty!
I love the concept of women empowering other women and making their passion a living.
My girlfriends and I are planning to head back for workshop two where we pick up how to create “Smokey eye effect”.
If you would like to arrange for a Mary Kay workshop session for you and your girlfriends, email Wendy, wenyip516 @ gmail.com (without the gaps)!
I’m also thinking of arranging for a session for my blog readers to attend Mary Kay’s workshop,
so keep a look out for that! 😉
Thanks to HotelClub for featuring my blog Enabalista as one of the Best Singapore Lifestyle Blogs of 2013! It is my honour and privilege to be mentioned next to fellow bloggers like MsGlitzy (whom I am a fan and longtime reader of) and Felicia Neo! Couldn’t have done it without the support of my readers, many of whom are my family and friends. Thus I dedicate this milestone to all of my dear readers! I also want to thank God for this award because it’s a great blessing to be picked out of many lifestyle bloggers in Singapore. 🙂
This is an excerpt from the HotelClub featured article!:
Real estate agent by day, lifestyle blogger by night, Ena began blogging at just 13 years of age, and in the ensuing years has honed her writing to a finely tuned craft. Her site, Enabalista.com, covers her own experiences of living in Singapore, ranging from the extremely personal (see her posts about her graduation and her business ideas) to working, shopping, dining and going out. We were particularly taken by her willingness to share and engage with her followers, as well as her knowledge of all that Singapore has to offer!
“The Singaporean lifestyle is fast-paced and mostly work-driven. However, increasingly, Singaporeans are also learning how to enjoy life through fine cuisine, fashion and beauty. As a local Singaporean, I love to share with friends and readers my take on fashion, beauty and food that I encounter in my life. It brings me joy when I meet fellow like-minded readers all over the world who enjoy reading about what I blog!”
