Review: Get Scared at USS Halloween Horror Night 4!

Two weeks ago I went down to RWS’s USS Halloween Horror Night 4 with blogger friends Sheena, HP And Shu Hui! These are the photos taken from the night… Personally I’ve been to HHN2, 2 years back and truth be told, it was scarier the first time simple because I’ve never experienced anything like that before! That said, my experience this year was undoubtedly exhilarating and extremely exhausting, lol. My silly brain thought I had the tickets placed in my wallet when… it was still home and I only figured that out when I was already at Vivo at 8pm. T_T So Sheena and I cabbed down to my house where my sister kindly brought down the tickets and the same cab took us back to Harbourfront and then to Sentosa. That said, thank God for Uber because they’re having a 25% off for cabs for October. If you haven’t tried Uber taxis, try is and enjoy $10 credit when you use my code “enat3”, find the promotion tab and input the code to redeem. 😉 When we reached USS, it was before 9pm and we met up with HP and Shu Hui for haunted houses Mati Camp & The L.A.B. Then we went to Jack’s 3-Dementia which is the first 3D haunted house and it was SO FUN. I loved it! Sheena and I were too exhausted ~~and scared~~ to go for Jing’s Revenge which left Shu Hui’s spirit shattered, we just chilled at the restaurant with a delicious pizza slice and drinks. 😉 My final thoughts on HHN4? You have to try it at least once if you haven’t. It’s best to go with a group of friends and I think a pax of 4-6 would be best, so it’s cosy and you will always have someone infront and behind you (if you’re a weak girl like I am, hahaha). At The L.A.B Sheena and I lost HP and Shu Hui infront of us and I literally pushed the stranger guy behind me to go infront of me to lead the way. OOPS. >.< Stranger guy, if you happen to read this, THANKS again! <3 And 1 tip! When you think of all the street roamers/scare-rs as someone to take a selfie with, they become a lot less scary. 😛 Last 3 weekends for the HHN4! Go grab your tickets here if you haven’t! Ena’s Halloween 2012

Hello!

This is my almost 2 months belated Halloween post, hehe. I have a handful of belated posts which I will be slowly updating here over the next week. Yay to overcoming blogging procrastination!

On a side note, how do you like my new blog layout? I really like it for its fresh and clean concept, and that’s exactly what the theme is titled, “Fresh & Clean” Cool huh! 🙂 On a similar note, I really hate that WordPress is becoming all premium-ish, charging $30 a year if I’d like to customize the theme, like change the ugly blue hyperlinked text to an oxblood/maroon red that I’d like. Yes, at the moment I think it’s such an necessary waste of money to dish out $30 just for the hyperlinked text that I want. Sobs.

Anyway, enough of ranting! Photos from Halloween this year! 🙂

My classmates and I went to Attica @ Clark Quay this year, the Sat before Halloween on 27 Oct and these are some of the pretty awesome outfits the go-getters were decked out in. Photos by Attica as credited, and the rest taken by my friend Shi Hui! 🙂

I really liked the Nightmare before Christmas make-up this girl had on, so cute and the Russian doll printed dress she has on is really pretty too.

Some guys came in suspenders… sans shirt. Didn’t quite get what character/look they were after, or maybe not!

My friends Ser li, I & Shi Hui. Ser li’s in Katy Perry inspired dress and Shi Hui is kind of inspired by middle eastern princess look I think! Nonetheless they were very gamed… unlike me, I didn’t prepare a costume! 😛

In light of Halloween, Bini, Lucius, V and I also went to USS’s Haunted House. I do think its worth it for $60 / ticket (more worth it at $45 for student ticket but it was sold out fast) but not so worth it when we topped up $40 to get express but the wait for the house without the express was… unbearably long. It’s worth it cause the set was really awesome and so were the actors dressed up as corpse, soldiers, asylum patients, olden day chinese characters in the Chinese Haunted Alley! We went to the scariest house first so after that the other houses didn’t have as much as a kick, lol.

We didn’t take photos in the Haunted houses or the alleys. Only a few photos towards the end! Photos by V / Bini / Lucius. 🙂

It was super smokey cause they kept pumping smoke at the entrance to create the atmosphere, lol.

First Halloween Celebration!

As I always say, I am very blessed. My lovely (and sometimes crazy) friends in class asked me out with them for Halloween and I gamely agreed but it wasn’t till the last hour that I took action… so my ‘dress’ for Halloween was very ‘mehhh’.

I called Shi Hui like 1 hour before we were supposed to meet up and I told her I have no idea what to dress up as. Then I told her likely a leopard dress and Ser Li was with her and she said she’ll bring a Fox mask for me. Yay! But if you think about it… Leopard dress and Fox mask? = No link but one happy Jia En. HAHAHA. Anyways.

What is Halloween without dressing up, drinking, getting high, looking silly and having FUN? 😀

Traditionally Halloween is a day to celebrate the dead, before All Saint’s Day, a day to celebrate the Saints and all the deceased members of the church. But now it has evolved to an event that youths and young-at-heart a like can dress up and celebrate with their friends. 🙂

It was my very first halloween celebration and I was very fascinated (to say the least) by everyone’s enthusiasm for the event and their courage in dressing up. There was flintstones, anime characters, goth girls, boys in CHIJ girls uniform… and even NAZI soldiers. Haha. When it comes to creativity, the sky’s the limit eh! With my super lovely classmates Serli, Shi Hui and Shella. <3 <3 <3 one <3 for each of them! Ser li as a kitten, and Shi and Shell as bunnies, all tres sexy ! 🙂

Anyways as a *ahem* responsible blogger I shall stress that if you drink but don’t get drunk and if you are a girl then all the more be guarded when you’re out partying alright! 🙂 Nowadays girls can be quite scary too so boys also must be guarded and wary ok! 😛
