We’re in the midst of summer, have you been or made plans to the beach?

Ever worried about what protection you need under the summer sun? Fret not because today I have something to recommend you. 😉

A while back I was invited to Summer Indulgence event at Coastes Sentosa featuring Aqualabel, Senka and Tsubaki brands.

Starting off my review with Aqualabel’s Whitening Jelly Essence

As mentioned above, this product has 4 functions:

1. Lotion; blends perfectly into skin as dewy essence turns into lotion.
2. Emulsion; Double Hyaluronic Acid permeates, fills and retains in the stratum comeum, achieving moist, smooth skin.
3. Serum; whitening ingredient m-tranexamic acid inhibits & prevents dark spot formation.
4. Astrigent; minimizes pores that tends to dilate or sag.

When gently spread across the skin. Shows strong signs of hydration that doesn’t easily fully permeate the skin, requires slight massage for it to be fully absorbed.2014-06-28 14.23.39

Skin after product is fully absorbed, flushed and hydrated.

I’ve been using this product for a while now, replacing it with my moisturizing(emulsion) and using it after my lotion. The texture is just nice as my moisturizer replacement and I really like the super hydrating effect of this product. You should know by now that I am a huge fan of Hyaluronic Acid, its one ingredient often found in products I review which I rave above, it locks in 1000x (some sources say 2000x) its own weight in water, so when the product claims Double Hydraluronic acid, I’m like, does your skin need that much water, or more like can our skin really hold that much water. Nonetheless its a product I’m enjoying for sure! A tip I have is to apply this on your lips to prime it like a lip essence before applying on lipstick.

Senka Mineral Essence UV

Made with 100% mineral water with strong UV protection and anti-aging care.

SPF50+ PA++++; strong protection against UVA and UVB rays to prevent formation of dark spots and freckles. 
Anti aging care; contains Coenzyme Q10 and Hyaluronic Acid to keep skin looking youthful, resilient and firm.
Made with 100% Mineral Water; non greasy and spreads on smoothly like an essence, leaves a silky smooth finish with no white residue.
Resistence to sweat and sebum 
Pre makeup base for smoother application of foundation 
Easily removed with normal cleanser
Fragrance free, no mineral oil, no artificial colours and dermatologist tested.

Spreads smoothly and leaves no residue. When I apply it on my face it leaves a powder smooth (versus silky smooth as marketed) finishing which I find remarkable and also enjoy the texture!

On days when I want less coverage I just leave home with this as my make up base:

Leave in scalp essence that delivers a range of Head Spa effects – from moisturizing, softening to stimulating blood circulation for a healthy and moisturized scalp. Enhances hair shine.

Directions for use:

1. Shake the bottle horizontally 4-5 times.
2. Position the nozzle upright about 2 cm away from cleansed scalp
3. Spray over 8-10 spots onto your scalp in a single session, 1 sec per spray.
4. Gently press onto the spots with your palms until the sparking popping sound disappears.
5. Massage your scalp lightly and relax with the aromatic scent.

Product is colourless and has a slightly greasy feel (due to the natural oils good for the hair) and a wonderfully relaxing floral scent!  This product is recommended to use at night and I strongly recommending this for use in pairs, with your mum, sister or partner cause it’s more fun and relaxing to do it for someone else and vs versa. 😉

Shiseido Brands’ Celebrate Winning Beauty Products

Hi lovelies!

Do you know that Shiseido Singapore has 6 brands under them?

They are ZA, Aqualabel, Majolica Majorca, Ma Cherie, Tsubaki & Senka respectively!

As you know, I was invited for their ZA Rich Glam Rouge party & Majolica Majorca x Ma Cherie Floral Enchantress party and most recently, I received a sweet invite from them again! Check it out:
Shiseido Bloggers Appreciation Party Invite Call me old-fashioned, but I actually imagined the party to be a buffet style at a hotel hall where the bloggers get to mingle. Who am I kidding right? Coming from the folks that think of the most interesting and well-propped parties!

Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover (S$20.90), read my review of it here. Lash Expander Edge Meister (S$25.90) Been using it for the last month and let’s just say that I usually don’t like mascaras cause they are too thick, too clumpy but this one is light, buildable and my lashes look long and feels good.
