Continuing on my blog recaps, let’s dive into July, my birthday month! (Check out my June post here if you haven’t) I’ve also travelled to Bali with friends for Jac’s during the same month and will be posting about the trip in a separate blog post cause otherwise this post would be too long. Once again, tons of food posts below, don’t read on an empty stomach! 😛
Started my month with a homemade sandwich – a regular combination consists of ham, lettuce, cheese & tomatoes – sometimes I cook eggs and add them in too. Easy peasy!

This is really good, about $30-40/pax but fresh ingredients and really yummy Laksa soup base, recommended! 😀

Attended the media preview/launch of HokaOneOne, shoes for running professionals – “crazy” people who go on 500km races!
Couldn’t resist trying McDonald’s Salted Egg Chicken Burger – I was lucky that I tried one after the complains that the salted egg was too little – so I got one with quite liberal amount, yay! Would most definitely eat one again except it was only on the menu for a limited time.
Birthday Celebration @ Sumiya

It was my first time going to Sumiya at Orchard Central and I enjoyed it! Only except we over ordered and couldn’t finish, hahaha. Also chanced upon really nice photo-taking spots on the rooftop! Always thankful for my friendship with Christabelle and Clarabelle. <3
BAD CAFE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED
Not even gonna name the cafe, both Belles recommended this cafe but that day we went, it served up lousy lemonade – granted they replaced it but their service still sucked nonetheless. You’d notice I usually don’t complain about stuff on my blog cause I don’t like to give air time to shitty things but man – this cafe is crap and if you know which it is, don’t ever go back again and I can’t wait to pop a champagne on the day they close. 
Estee Lauder Global Makeup Artist FW Show
Attended the Estee Lauder’s makeup show and got introduced to a ton of new makeup!
They have this skin – foundation matcher device, cool!

Sunday @ Punggol
Attended Xiao Kai Lao Shi’s event thanks to Starhub! He’s really handsome irl and I remember him sharing about that glow which is really popular on Korean actresses – add that highlight on your cheekbones!
Headed out for a meet up with Fenny at Punggol Pond (which is actually at Hougang).

Cousin bought this yummy Mochi from Punggol Waterway Point for a gathering at my sister’s place. 
Got a new coat of colour at Chez Vous… got to say this is probably the chio-est colour I’ve had on the hair!
Skincare goodies!
Was sent over some products from Gobigoun (Korea), This Placenta Power mask is super good… and under the rader… When I saw a store stocking it at Myeong Dong it was selling a piece for like $10/piece! Is it worth it? $10 is too much for me to shell out for a piece, but it definitely hydrates my skin intensely.
They also have a Placenta Power moisturizer, but haven’t put this to the test yet.

And TFS Make My Sexy Back mist spray (replacing my powder), cute nail polish and free masks and samples cause I signed up as a member, yay!

We tried a bit of everything, truffle soup ramen was good, but for the other times I went back after this, I opted for their regular ramen! 🙂 The cold veg was surprisingly good, the chicken was not good – don’t order it!
Batam Trip @ Nongsa Point Marina & Resort with Ayers
lol pls ignore my obvious double eye lid sticker here.
We were really hungry and had a late dinner around 9+ at the resort. It’s about SGD$10 so it’s not cheap for Batam standards but ok for restaurant standard.
This was so good, we had it again for lunch before we left. <3
Brought Auolive skincare for the trip! Very fuss free indeed.
Added in hair care from Phil Smith (fave hair oil) and Nivea sunblocks.
Love buffet breakfast at the resort!

This was cheap and good! Go with a huge group and try tons of different flavours!

Ok, so the mistake we made was to take up the resort’s driver’s offer to go on a “day trip intinerary” with him and he gave us ALL THE SHITTY RECOMMENDATIONS. 🙁 So other than our Batam Plaza choice, he brought us to a bad massage place and this terrible dinner place, urgh.
The coconuts were NOT FRESH. 🙁
I don’t eat prawns but I didn’t miss out on anything.

Bestie’s treat to Korean good at Manna Story at Plaza Singapura. Food was so-so in my opinion. Nothing to shout about. Would go again only if I was craving Korean food and in the area. Would prefer Seoul Yummy at Bugis+ over this option!
