Are you looking for a weekend staycation? Well, I’ve got an unconventional staycation to recommend today!

A while ago, my bestie and I enjoyed our boutique hostel staycation at 5footway.inn BoatQuay. Our loft room (Standard Triple Loft) was pretty in sky blue, I like that it has a window and natural light coming in. Even though it was small, it’s decent sized and besides we didn’t spend much time in the room apart from sleeping. What we loved the most about the boutique hostel was the view of the river and the city from the open terrace, both in the day and night.

We chose to check in on a Saturday afternoon which coincided with bestie’s birthday! To celebrate her birthday, we headed to Plaza Singapura Mall to shop, dinner and catch the thriller movie “The Accountant” featuring Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick. It was late night by the time the movie was over so we Uber-ed back to the hostel. After washing up at the communal restrooms, we headed to the open lounge cum open terrace area to enjoy a cup of milo for supper. We fell in love with the view so we decided to wake up for breakfast the next day to enjoy the same view again!

Would definitely recommend this boutique hostels to both locals and tourists – we saw a really mixed and international crowd from Thais, Indians, Chinese and French. Just be reminded that they’re located on the 2nd floor and there’s no lift access so it’s best to travel light or be prepared to lug your luggage up the stairs.
