Tsubaki Extra Moist Range

Hi Loves!

The last time, I reviewed Tsubaki’s hair oil on my post here. This time, it’s about their newer haircare ranges, in particular the Tsubaki Extra Moist Range! I’ve used it for a while and I really like it because it’s great for moisturizing my coloured hair. If you’re like me and you need a moisturizing haircare range, I definitely recommend Tsubaki, plus it smells amazing!

Check out photos from their media preview~

Cosentino City – innovative surfaces for architecture and design

Hi Loves!

MTG Plosion 007Remember my previous post about MTG ReFa S Carat and Plosion and this photo with the various tiles? I mentioned that I would give an introduction about Cosentino, which is the brand that produces and markets these innovative surfaces for architecture and design, so here it is!

Frankly, preparing and writing this post is quite different from my usual fashion, beauty, food & travel topics but I am happy to be doing so, because architecture & interior design is definitely a topic that I love too! 🙂

11011297_438777636284644_2653272227506262270_n

If you’re like me and haven’t heard of Cosentino, fret not, because their space here in Singapore is actually pretty new too! Cosentino City, as their showroom space in Duxton is known, only launched in November last year, so this year marks its first year. However the company and brand is way more established, read more about them here:

Cosentino Group is a global, family-owned company that produces and distributes high value innovative surfaces for architecture and design. As a leading company, Cosentino imagines and anticipates together with its customers and partners design solutions that offer value and inspiration to people’ lives. This goal is made possible by pioneering brands that are leaders in their respective segments such as Silestone®, Dekton®, Eco by Cosentino® and Sensa by Cosentino®. Technologically advanced surfaces which allow create unique designs for the home and public spaces.

The group bases its development on international expansion, an innovative research and development program, respect for the environment and sustainability, and its ongoing corporate commitment to society and the local communities where it operates, education, equality and health & safety.

Cosentino Group currently distributes its products and brands in more than 80 countries, and directly manages from its headquarters in Almeria (Spain) its own facilities in more than 20 of them. 90% of Cosentino Group’s turnover comes from international markets.

Cool, huh! I may be wrong as I don’t come from an architectural and design background, but I do feel that the Cosentino is like the Hermes brand in the architecture world.  I say this because Cosentino reminds me of the private high fashion brand Hermes as both are privately owned and both have such high levels of excellence in their products. Also, beyond just marketing their products, they create such wonderful environments and also give back to society through sponsorship of artistic collaborations. In essence, brands like them inspire me!

This is where Cosentino team present ideas and visual application of solutions to partners and clients. We didn’t actually see an actual presentation but I’m sure the presentations are cool, heh!

And we also indulged a little with a variety of Spanish food (love the link to their Spanish roots here!) from My Little Spanish Place. Although I have not  been to Spain before, so I can’t tell if the food is authentic but it sure does tastes amazing and I would love to visit the restaurant soon!
Cosentino Media Networking Event 001 Cosentino Media Networking Event 002Have I mentioned that I LOVE olives? Some people take the olives out of their pizzas, but I love the taste of them, especially the black ones in the pizzas! 🙂Cosentino Media Networking Event 003Amazing spread of food~
Cosentino Media Networking Event 004Cosentino Media Networking Event 006And we also heard a little sharing about Spanish White and Red Wines, Paco & Lola & Paco.
Cosentino Media Networking Event 005Then we heard a presentation from the Cosentino team! We watched video presentations about their works and art collaborations/sponsorship, which gets me because I’m/was an art student, hahaha. And watching the snippets of Italy made me miss my times as an art student, touring Italy so much. T_T

Before I start crying as I reminisce the old times, let me share more sleek visuals of Cosentino projects and applications!

The four bathroom concepts – Front, DK, Stil and SiD all differ in expression and function but unite in its remarkable quality and design function.

Dekton’s high resistance to heat, scratches and stains makes it the perfect worktop material for bathroom design.

Cosentino’s ultra-compact surface Dekton is available as a worktop in the colours Danae, Sirocco, and Sirus.

MTG’s ReFa S Carat & Plosion

Hi Loves!

MTG should not be new to you as I’ve previously featured MTG’s ReFa Carat Facial & Body Massager on my blog post here. So, a while back, I was invited again for their bloggers’ & media preview as MTG launched in Singapore, their ReFa S Carat which is a smaller, sleeker version of the ReFa Carat, as well as Plosion carbonated mist set, which is a beauty product coming from Japan, more of that below!

MTG ReFa S Carat 001ReFa S Carat is more suitable as a facial massage – for the nose, cheeks, side of face – as compared to the bigger ReFa Carat. Priced at S$220. For more information and to purchase, visit their Singapore site here.
MTG Plosion 001Here, the MTG Singapore director is giving a demo of MTG products on the model. Always remarkable when he works on one side of the face to show the difference from the other! I suggest that you pop by one of their stores and test it out for yourself. 😉

MTG Plosion 003

Now on to MTG’s PLOSION – it’s designed for convenience and functionality, the PLOSION diffuser has a portable compact body capable of emitting a small but powerful jet of carbonated mist containing three times the average concentration of carbonic acid. Carbonic acid has emerged as a new beauty trend in Japan and the treatment aims to give your skin a healthy dose of hydration, anytime anywhere.

Before I attended this media preview session, I was honestly clueless about carbonic acid because well, it’s not something that’s popular in Singapore – at least something that I was unaware about! So I did some research about it before the event and I was quite surprised with the results I found, namely that it’s already super popular in Japan. And the MTG staff told us that they have already introduced Plosion way back in 2008 in Japan(!) and the version that they are now introducing in Singapore is already quite advanced.

So more about Carbonic Acid, taken from this JapanHotNow article dated from 2013:

Best-selling ingredient #1
Carbonic acid: From food to cosmetics!

Carbonic acid has taken Japan’s health and beauty scene by storm in the last several years. The trend started with popular carbonated-water diets and moved to a huge boom in carbonated bath salts, hair and scalp treatments, and now cosmetics!

Carbonic acid lifts dirt from pores, promotes healthy circulation, and more. Blood circulation in the skin is what promotes cell turnover, which has a host of skin benefits–including fighting dullness and spots as well as combatting sagging and swelling.

Sounds amazing, huh? How come I haven’t heard of it earlier in Singapore? HAHA.

The PLOSION Carbonated Mist Handy set comes with:

1x Carbonated Mist Diffuser
2x PLOSION Face Essential Lotion (13ml) (S$79 each for refills)
1x CO2 Cartridge (S$20 each for refills)
Retail price: S$399
Available in 3 colours, silver, white & dark red.
For more information and to purchase, visit the site here.

MTG Plosion 004 MTG Plosion 005 MTG Plosion 006I’ve tried the Plosion product, it definitely feels very refreshing and moisturizing. It’s supposed to also be able to lift sagging skin, although I won’t be able to tell or see the difference. The product should last you about 30 days if you use it daily, refills would cost about $99. It’s definitely a product targeted at the more mature crowd, considering the product features and price point!
MTG Plosion 007Also loving the media preview space at Cosentino gallery, more of the space in another blog post!

Thank you MTG Singapore  & Touch PR for the invite & ReFa S Carat!

Singapore Fashion Week 2015 Recap

Hi loves!

Well you’ve probably seen my IG updates from months back when I attended a few shows from Singapore Fashion Week, mostly the young designers show, namely LASALLE Graduation show & Harpers Bazaar Next Gen show. Also attended the Star Creation & Zalora shows but did not manage to snap any nice photos so there’s none from those shows for this post~ 😛

While I definitely enjoyed both LASALLE Grad show and Harpers Bazaar Next Gen show – I find that LASALLE show designs focused more on artistic concepts & were more explorative, understandably as it’s an arts school (and my Alma mater, where I studied Fashion Media & Industries, majoring in Management), while Harpers’ show designs were a lot more “commercialized”, collections that look like they already belonged in the store. There’s no critical judgement from me either ways, as I would love to have pieces from select designers (you’ll know which from my comments/captions below, heh) from both shows in my wardrobe!

Alright, enough with my introductions~2015-05-14 08.54.51 2015-05-14 08.54.53 2015-05-14 08.54.55 2015-05-14 08.54.56Loving my make up for the day, hence the slew of selfies, heh. Am missing my hair from those days before I bleached it. Lol.
2015-05-14 09.37.58Getting ready to meet my inspiration, Miroslava Duma. In case you don’t know her, she was a fashion magazine editor, currently a street style icon and founder of buro247.com – which is now present in more than 7-8 countries featuring luxury fashion and lifestyle topics. She’s extremely well connected, business minded and savvy! While she still look like a teenager, she’s in her thirties and she has 2 kids! Don’t ask me how she does it!

2015-05-14 23.28.40Met up with Sifra my LASALLE school mate & Smita for the talk!
2015-05-14 10.25.37The emcee did such a bad job honestly. Her questions were so bad, some didn’t even make sense. It would have been much better if Duma and Dion Lee interviewed each other. It was such a waste that we did not get to hear more from the two of them as the questions were a waste of time/did not make sense.2015-05-14 23.35.44Nonetheless, with the little that was shared, it was inspiring to hear from Duma, who shared about having good work ethics – you’ve got to work for it, don’t expect things to drop down from the sky!
2015-05-14 11.13.26-2And got a pic with her!!! <3 Thanks to Smita! <3

2015-05-14 14.15.59Snapped a pic of this dude with this crazy and cool tiger head bag.

2015-05-15 21.10.02Headed to Chez Vous to get my hair done for Star Creation later in the evening. Belatedly realize that I should have gone for sleek back hair since I was wearing a rather edgy dress. Ohwells!
2015-05-14 22.25.20With cuties Q-li & Jem whom I met at SFW!

Day 2 of SFW, decided to have my hair done at the salon near my place before heading down!

And after it’s done, selfie taken on the cab! Decided to go for a very defined and red carpet-style hair and makeup look. Sleek hair back is actually no longer on trend since it’s been done 2-3 years back, but who cares as long as I like the look, heh!

Depend GelLack Start Kit for Safe & Easy Gelish Nails

Hi Loves!

Are you a gelish nail fan? Ever wished you could apply gelish nails in the comfort of your home at your own time and pace, without having to book a slot at your usual nail salon?  Or wished that you can enjoy the longevity of gelish nails without damaging your nails with all that buffing? Well, now your wishes are fulfilled with Depend’s GelLack home salon kit!

Depend Gellack Start Kit Home Nail Salon 003Depend GelLack Start Kit

Depend Gellack Start Kit Home Nail Salon 001 Comes with before/after cleanser, base coat, top coat, orange wood cuticle stick, nail file and an LED Lamp, to be used with GelLack colour (sold separately) for a high shine finish that lasts 2-3weeks. Depend Gellack Start Kit Home Nail Salon 002The LED lamp is easy to use and comes equipped with a timer – both stregthens and dries the nails within minutes, leaving an extremely durable surface.

Additional benefits of the Depend GelLack system:

1.         Most gel nail application requires the surface to be buffed first, resulting in thinning and brittleness of the nails. However, GelLack doesn’t require buffing, as curing the polish under the LED lamp smoothens it out to achieve a shiny, ridgeless look (also good news for people who cannot paint nails very evenly with their non-dominant hand). Since it is equipped with an LED lamp and not a UV lamp, the curing and drying process is quicker (30 seconds) and kinder to the nails.

 2.         Plus, once the nail polish is cured, there is no drying time (YES, THE BEST!).

3.         The removal process is the key highlight of GelLack’s system, as it requires only GelLack’s Remover Oil and warm water. Most (if not all) gel nail removal requires an acetone soak, which dehydrates the nails. The remaining polish is literally scraped and buffed off, which usually leads to damaged, brittle nails. However, GelLack only requires you to massage the oil into the nails, after which you place the nails in warm water (about 40 degrees) for about 5 minutes or so (depending on how long your manicure has been left on. If you’ve left on the manicure for less than three weeks, leave it in warm water for 7 – 10 minutes) and the nail polish can be peeled off with your fingers or with a cuticle stick, causing no damage to the surface.

 4.         If there is an event in which your current gel nails don’t match your outfit, you can paint them over with regular nail polish and remove it afterwards with acetone – the gel nails will not be affected! 🙂

Depend GelLack Start Kit retails at Watsons for S$99.00 and additional colours at S$13.90 each. Highly recommended for gelish nails lovers!

Thank you Depend Cosmetics Singapore and Chen Ting of Mediaflair comms for the kit for review! It’s taking me forever to actually get down to reviewing the kit as I’m usually with gelish nails, but I will update again either on the blog or on my IG once I have tried the kit!

Be sure to follow me on my IG @ena_teo for updates!
